  1. Any updates to this? I'd like my souvenir too but I don't want to change my log, it was my first Ohio cache.
  2. Also, which number should I go by to make sure I use the right cache as my next milestone? I have a certain one picked out for 5000 and I'd prefer not to mess that up.
  3. Bummer, I guess I missed that in the lab cache FAQs. Thanks for the info. I kinda thought lab caches didn't count as finds at all. Weird. How silly that they count but aren't included in the stats. I don't suppose there's a plan to "fix" that? I can't be the only person who wants their stats to be accurate. Honestly I'd prefer that they not count at all if this is the case!!
  4. I apologize if this has already been brought up, but I didn't find it in a search. For a couple of weeks now my find count at the top right of my page and the one on my statistics page haven't matched up. It's always off by one find. I'm actually no longer sure which one is correct, and as I am about to hit a milestone I'd like to know! I know I can edit and lock my milestones, but still! Anyone else having this issue? Any tips for solving it? Sally
  5. That thread didn't exist when I posted this one. Believe me, I checked. Looks like he and I were typing at the same exact time!
  6. When caching with friends we usually look at each other's finds to make sure we didn't forget to log any, but that feature is not working. I get the following error message no matter how I try to look at their finds: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." Any idea when this will be back up? Thanks!
  7. The directions here are for the Explorist GC. Perhaps you should start a new thread and see if someone with a 310 can help you. Having said that, once I get to that stage with the GC, I then use the toggle button and change the coords it shows on the screen, then right click once I have them correct to save them. But the 310 is probably different, I don't know.
  8. I purchased a Sydney Eternity Geocoin on eBay and I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about the history of the coin? I like to get the background information for my coins if possible. There's a weird code on the back too and I was wondering what this is as well if anyone knows anything? It's a letter then a dash then 3 numbers. (It's not the tracking code, that's on the other side.) Thanks!
  9. I recently made all of my own caches Premium because someone kept stealing them. Now they're left alone. I didn't want to make them premium but I can't afford to spend all my time and money replacing my caches, either. PS I wish we could turn in bottles and cans for cash but here in FL the reason for CITO is just to clean up. No such thing as refundables here.
  10. Sorry if this suggestion has been made before, but as a cache owner and travel bug owner I would like to know when a photo has been uploaded along with a log for one of my caches or TBs. Is this a possibility?
  11. I can't understand why this feature still hasn't been added. I've been complaining about this ever since I started caching! Is there a way to get the powers that be to see this and make this happen?
  12. Check out geocachespoilers on Youtube, they are all really, really good. Such a tragic loss. Last time I checked his account on geocaching was still active too, but I think his GC name was sven. with a period at the end. (Or a "fullstop" if you're not American.) I think his brother was in the process of taking over his account with Groundspeak's help.
  13. <Set up a proper fund through your bank and direct all donations there> That sounds good in theory, but are you sure that would work for accepting international donations? My parents live in Australia, and when they send me birthday money to my bank in the USA there's a hefty fee at both ends for the transfer. We've started using PayPal to transfer the funds now, for this very reason.
  14. Paypal should never be used for something like this in the first place. Paypal can and will shut the account down & hold onto the money if they feel like it. Hmmm. I've been using PayPal ever since it first started and have never had an issue with it. Why would they hold the money?
  15. Gotcha, thank you. I didn't realize we couldn't delete posts here.
  16. How do people hide these huge TBs such as the giant fork and spoon? Or are they just traded at events? One of my favorites (though I have never seen it in person) is Sofa King (Obnoxious). I mostly just love the name. Guess I'm immature like that
  17. Hmmm, I think I answered my own question because when I looked up "sven." just now I only found 9 records but when I looked under his brother's profile earlier I found 22 hidden by "sven∪" or "svengalie" so I guess he had multiple caching personas
  18. What was Steve's geocaching name please? I really loved his geocachespoiler videos, especially the ones that were his, and some friends and I would like to make a tribute cache for him. Thank you.
  19. There's apparently no way to do a street/satellite hybrid map anymore, which was what I always used before. Also, the Mapquest sat maps look positively blurry compared to how good the Google ones are. Man, what a bummer. Hopefully they can make these work faster soon!
  20. I'm trying to set up notifications for my Dad, who geocaches in the desert in Western Australia. His account is indeed set up for kilometers, not for miles, so there is definitely a way to do that. However it appears that 80km is the max range that it allows, is that right? I'm trying to set it for 500km. He literally lives in the middle of nowhere and driving 500km for a cache is not a big deal to him. Is 80km really the max? That totally blows if so!
  21. Yep I know there are duplicate cache names but there aren't going to be very many that are identical and even if there are its easy enough to check them all once you get it narrowed down.
  22. I did figure out a way to find the duplicate cache anyway though and I will tell how I did it here in case anyone else needs an easy way with no downloads needed (since some workplaces frown on that sort of activity!) I copied and pasted his list of finds into a new Excel spreadsheet, deleted the columns I didn't need, sorted the one with the cache names from A-Z and looked for the two that were identical!
  23. OOOOOOHHHH!! I didn't realize that was a special PQ. You're right I was trying to do a regular one. I am so blonde sometimes. Thank you!! (Yes I do know that I need to be logged in as my friend.)
  24. Is there an easy way to find duplicate log entries? A friend who is not as computer savvy as I has given me his password for GC so that I can try and find the one duplicate log he has and I am not finding it. We do not have GSAK. I've tried the "FindStats" software mentioned in other threads, along with a My Finds PQ but the results I keep getting are for someone else so I guess I am doing something wrong?! Weird I know. Also the My Finds PQ apparently requires a location, and some of his finds are outside of our home state, and choosing just the USA is not an option. Help! Thank you!
