  1. The number of Geocaches found on a particular day can differ greatly from the number of Geocaches Logged with a particular Found On date.
  2. I suppose the Reviewer's Land Owner Database would be updated automatically, or are they responsible for changes in the property owner/manager information? If you think it is too much trouble to obtain ownership information and obtain permission, perhaps you shouldn't be a cache owner.
  3. Grid filling these days can be a joke to some, with power trails placed near Mega events. I heard someone at GeoWoodstock in Ft. Worth 'bragging' that they had found two complete Fizzy loops that day - 162 caches with the falsely labeled D/T combos.
  4. @captnemo, if your phone number is on the cache, maybe add "call for additional hints" on the container as well.
  5. Post your OM, then a bit later, edit the OM to change the posted date to a date older than the published date. Include the actual visit date in the text of your edited log. This way, you have your note of when you checked the cache/OM, and the OM log is moved back to prior to any searcher's logs.
  6. @DreamMachine74, how is it fair that a cache rating not accurately reflect the cache condition? Regardless of the D/T rating when placed, if the hide environment changes, the D/T should be adjusted to reflect the current situation. If the bridge washes out on the hiking trail to that 1.5/2 cache, the T rating should be raised to reflect having to swim the river. Perhaps you are one of those who have the false belief that the D/T ratings are some type of a score, instead of a rating reflective of the cache hide.
  7. According to the Guidelines, a Bonus cache must be a Mystery/Unknown cache type. The Bonus Attribute should only be allowed on that cache type.
  8. Sounds like a question for your local Reviewer. Happy New Year
  9. Who knows, but that listing does reference another similar challenge from 2017.
  10. Another edit needed in the sentence following the prior one in #4. "One photo should be of the marker. The second should be the surround area with the marker in noticeable sight ." Shouldn't this be "surrounding" and there is a space before the period at the end of that sentence.
  11. Not sure about how to block those particular notifications, but you can report the offensive user names to HQ. They may change the names or delete the accounts if they agree the names are offensive to families and children (and sensible others). Good luck.
  12. Reading comprehension isn't a strong suit of some people, I guess.
  13. Is there any hope of this FAILURE being corrected? It has been an issur for a long time now.
  14. When I see the "Old Man" photo, I do not see graffiti. I'm not sure that it constitutes my idea of a mural either. It is more of what I would call a patriotic or memorial display.
  15. If so, please describe your requirements for a Letterbox Hybrid.
  16. First Garmin would have to make a device that maintains a full-time connection to cell data or wifi signal that must be present at the AL locations
  17. He sounds like a good cache owner, but if he lost his ability to easily maintain his caches, he should archive the listings or adopt them to other owners who are able do the maintenance.
  18. You said two former PM gave a FP to the cache. Are they included in the 34 shown to have awarded a FP? If not, perhaps there is a disconnect between the FP total shown and the number used for the % calculation. (34 + 2)/50 = 72%
  19. There is little rationale in many of the things in this hobby. It makes me wonder why can't I catch the ball with my hand and drop it before kicking it when playing soccer? That rule doesn't make sense to me and I doubt anyone can explain the rationale of it, but it is a rule I must follow when playing that game.
  20. In your situation, I'd sign the tiny logs as TS. Then in my online Found It log, I would mention the abbreviation.
  21. I wonder how many of these are from the glitch that changes your DNF drafts into Found It logs? I caught it just before publishing a couple logs last week.
  22. Color me confused (which is often correct) but why is there even a discussion about changing the category definition? To my simple way of looking at things, just leave the current one alone, and propose a new category for whatever 24 hour vending machine that is an exception to the Shop24 Machine category.
  23. For finds I've done, one awesome cache was a Virtual atop the tallest peak in Texas. A great 8+ mile hike up (then down) with my son. Another was just a small tupperware container under a rock ledge not far from the Mexico border - another cache with awesome views. One was an ammo can about 60 feet up a tree that required my first ever time using an Ascender/Descender to get up and down - I was exhausted when that one was done. Another one was a WVTim cache that was at GeoWoodstock. I own a cache that has received a goodly number of Favorite Points (and a lot more "AWESOME CACHE" logs) that is "just a micro in a cemetery". Another is a 2 foot long wooden caboose I built and have deployed at an old train depot building now used as a Visitor Center. I have never given a Favorite Point to a cache that had lots of errors or misspelled words on the cache page. Several of my caching friends are former educators, and feel the same way. You should work on that, maybe get a Mommy Yoda or Daddy Yoda to proofread your work. Go out and find lots of caches that have high Favorite Points on them. You can then have a good idea on what to do for your hides.
