Agreed....unfortunately there seems to be a difference betwen the systems used used for mapping in the UK (OSGB36 s a much older system) and the ROW (WGS84) that leads to issues....

Can be corrected, but I dare say that Garmin's simplified and dumbed down maps that don't give you much of a clue for public rights of way, are fine for the US.
I did find a product called a RoadAngel Adventurer 7000 (Sounds impressive at least) that has full road nav etc to get you there, and then switch to OS mapping (1:50K std, 1:25K, London A-Z, and other OS specials as options). Couldn't find any solid reviews or ratings and I'm now beginning to think my collection of WinMob6 apps do me more than just fine. Even got Wherigo running today, now all I need is a UK adventure to try it on!
