  1. Agreed....unfortunately there seems to be a difference betwen the systems used used for mapping in the UK (OSGB36 s a much older system) and the ROW (WGS84) that leads to issues.... http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/oswebsite/...gps_and_os.html Can be corrected, but I dare say that Garmin's simplified and dumbed down maps that don't give you much of a clue for public rights of way, are fine for the US. I did find a product called a RoadAngel Adventurer 7000 (Sounds impressive at least) that has full road nav etc to get you there, and then switch to OS mapping (1:50K std, 1:25K, London A-Z, and other OS specials as options). Couldn't find any solid reviews or ratings and I'm now beginning to think my collection of WinMob6 apps do me more than just fine. Even got Wherigo running today, now all I need is a UK adventure to try it on! Robert
  2. We have just completed our first 100+ caches with a collection of Windows Mobile software running on various PDAs - TomTom (to get us there and to find them), VitoNavigator (when TomTom insists on telling me I'm on nearby roads) and GoogleMaps mobile (to get real world view of where the hell we are). All this worked quite well in the beginning, but now we have decided we enjoy caching and its not a 5 minute wonder...its time to buy a proper GPSr. After much research it looks like I won't go far wrong with a Garmin 60Csx, and I'll buy one when I am next in the US and save myself a fortune on UK highstreet prices, but couple of questions; 1. Can I change the base map? I assume its a US map if I buy in the US 2. Do I need to change the base map if I have a big enough SD card and UK/Euro maps on that 3. Can I use non Garmin Topo maps? Specifically I want to use OrdananceSurvey 1:25K maps, but from the FAQs it looks like Mapsource only supports Garmin maps. I did find OS maps that supposedly work on Garmin, but its unclear how or what features I loose etc. Confused Comments/Thoughts Appreciated
