  1. I need to get my own kayak. Its costing me too much to keep renting. I've been looking at the Sevylor Diveyak Kayak... It can hold upto 600 lbs, you can mount a motor, you can also add a seat and hold two adults, it even has a clear see through dive hatch. It runs $599.99 but it has alot of uses: Rivers, lakes, and I think its even sea worthy. Any one got a couple of bucks to spare... heh heh Been there... Done that...
  2. Yea, I got two... Check out Just Ducky. Heres a pic where the uhh... fun began?... Also another one BOOTY BOX. I took the wrong way around the lake truned a mile hike into a 8 mile hike with two youngsters. Ouch it hurts just remembering it. Been there... Done that...
  3. I bought mine off of www.llbean.com. I love their outdoor stuff. This pack holds everything I could need. I got one large pocket for trinkets, one for my camera, first aid kit, rope, and other stuff and then a smaller pocket on the front where I put my GPSr. It also has to spots for water bottles on the side and I can hold it 3 differnt ways. It has the over-the-shoulder, lumbar, or handle just to carry. It rocks! Been there... Done that...
  4. After finnishing a hike from a Cache, and got back to the car; I put away my hiking stick, took off my geocaching bag, and set my Mericolor on the roof of the car... You guessed it I left it sitting on the roof while I drove off. Amazingly enough with the rubber backing it managed to stay on untill I left the park. As I took the turn onto the main street I heard the tumbling of the GPSr falling off the roof. I didn't realize what the noize was until about a mile down the road then it hit me. I just about $@it my pants when I realized what I did and pulled a U-turn. Luckly I found it still laying in the middle of the street right at the park entrance. It has one small scratch on the rubber but everything else still works great! Been there... Done that...
  5. Well I wasn't trying to save the pic. Theres even an eaiser way... <--Just click the save button when the mouse it over the pic. I was actually trying to see the link that some of the pics were redirecting to, before I clicked on them at work. Don't want to get into any trouble for viewing smut. I'm just glad they havn't blocked the geocaching website yet. They've blocked just about everything else with that dang firewall! Been there... Done that...

Maybe you posted it once or something, Brian? If I am right, it is really funny. Ok, it comes from http://www.mytrailerpark.com/. I admit, it's not me. I have another tooth. 9. quote:Originally posted by K-9CacheSeekers:This seems like another article where geocaching is slightly misrepresented. How often does anyone here walk away with pyrite or a digital watch (or at least one that's not broken) but I guess some incorrect publicity is better than no publicity at all... I guess you can say I've found a few digital watches before. Technically the only requirement for a digital watch is to have a numeric display not the analog dial. Even Mctoys sometimes are "digital watches". Been there... Done that...
  10. Post it, and they will come... Been there... Done that...

  12. Heres the link For everyone else. Interesting... but I don't think I've ever seen a "Chunk of pyrite" (Whatever that is...some kinda rock I'm asuming) in a cache before. Been there... Done that...

  14. Well what I do is download the .loc file and when I open it with EasyGPS, I edit the waypoint name. If you just delete the waypoint name (GC1234 or whatever) it will create its own waypoint name by using the decription. Example: My cache CWL007 - Cordova Multi would change to CWL007CM or Racoon's Hideaway would change to RacooHid. That way it makes it a little more eaiser to know the waypoint rather than a GC####. Hope this helps. Been there... Done that...

  16. I use the bike mount for my Meridian. And I love it! As far as haveing one braket for both... I doubt you'd find one, seeing that the size difference considerable. Why would you want to have both mounted at the same time for anyway?? I think you're on the right track by looking for a cell phone holder that would be your only chance. Been there... Done that...
  17. Hey Welcome to Geocaching!... When you say the waypoints just show up as numbers. Do you mean like "GCFE55" and "GC8D40"? If so thats just the waypoint name for the cache you loaded. You can edit the waypoint name with EasyGPS before you upload it to your GPSr. The waypoint name is usually limited to 8 characters. As far as stroller friendly caches. You will need to look for 1* terriain, or wheelchair accessable. They are usually urban or has a paved path. Try the Geocaching Forams Group by Region/State. Been there... Done that...
  18. I feel your pain tdjvolks... I have a TB that the cacher (Newbie at the time) picked it up April 04, 2003 and luckly he logged it so I know who has it. I've E-mailed him and he did reply once stating he has been busy but he that he did still have it. The TB has yet to be back on it's travels. All you can do is hope they do the right thing and keep it going on its travles. BTW: His log said: "We took a detour to Athens to get this one. Will be in Alabama soon." "Soon"!?!? Uhh I think not. 24. Have you ever been to one of those meetings in Nashville. It is really organized... Its nice and all but I don't know if I'd want it to go that far. As far as just getting together at a park or local bar would be an idea. We could still have the new news but as far as an adgenda and dues, I'm not too sure. Been there... Done that...
