  2. I have the same situation. I just moved into my new house a month ago... I live in a cove too On the other side of my back fence is a sidewalk and the main street going through town. I've been thinking about putting a self service web cam cache there. I was going to use a wireless webcam. All I need is a way to power the cam. I don't really want a extention cable running across the lawn. I can use my PC in the house to run the FTP site for the pics. Anyone got an idea?!? Been there... Done that...
  3. quote:Originally posted by seneca:The answer is (drrrrrummmmm rrrollllll...) A: Several. Ten little piggies, two calves, many hares, one a** and a beaver! Doh! forgot those! I don't know where my mind was... Been there... Done that...

  5. quote:Originally posted by Dream Alchemist:GeoCache Pickup Line: Hey I'm looking for treasure, Can I look around your chest? ROTFLMAF!!!! Nice sig! O Yea, looks too fishy to me too!! I hope that we don't attract too many of these types. I mean that can turn up to be something really bad! Thats the biggest reason I prefer word of mouth vs. advertising Geocaching! Might attrach the wrong type. Been there... Done that...

  7. I have one for my Meridicolor. I guess you can't really compare it, but mine works great. I've straped it to my MT. bike and take it on some rough stuff. The GPSr never reall budges. Been there... Done that...
  8. You might want to check out some of comments on this thred... <--Markwell I have the Meridicolor myself. I would really like the built in compass and higher res screen, but I don't think I could give up the expandabity. The SD card is a Hugh plus for me! Been there... Done that...
  9. I have one on CWL005 - The Wolf River "Bottoms", this is how I did mine... First, take the pic. Then, goto the cache page and click "upload images" Next, name the pic. If this is a spoiler I usually name the pic "Spoiler" because you don't won't to ruin it for someone who doesn't want to see the hint. That way they know its the hint. Give the location of the pic with the "Browse" button. Then, You can give a description of the pic. And Finnaly click "Upload picture" A link to the pic will be placed on the cache page. Make sure to make a point of it in your cache log, so they can refer to it if they need to. Good luck! Been there... Done that...
  10. Glad to see you had a good run while here in Memphis! Too bad you didn't hit any of mine... JK But it looked like you were on the other side of town anyway. quote:And of course I got spanked by a few ManicMechanic caches. I hope you weren't talking literaly at Basketball #10! JK Been there... Done that...
  11. I don't see it, but I get alot of "Woh! You look just like Edward Norton!" Mostly like his role in Primal Fear but I have a little lighter hair... Been there... Done that...
  12. quote:Originally posted by Stunod:I find that each set of rechagable that I use with mine throw the compass off by about 15 degrees before calibration. I use the MeriColor and the only thing I've always been jelous about is the eletric compass.... So you have to calibrate this thing regularly? and it throws the calibration off 15 degrees every time you change out rechargable batteries??? What?!? Maybe, I'm not so bad off as I thought. Been there... Done that...
  13. I'm not as new as the ''Newbie'' above me, but still do have trouble with some of the acronyms.... but if you think I have problems check out the person who posts below me... Been there... Done that...
  14. quote:Originally posted by Chris&Cindy:Whats up with you and CWL, did you not check into these things before moving? Do yall have indoor plumbing or an outhouse? No internet...how can you survive. JK Well I just got phone yesterday so I have dial-up now. But it looks like sometime next year till I can get DSL. ...and yes I have indoor plumbing. quote:Originally posted by bitbrain:Just pop the WiFi card in your laptop & cruise the neighborhood until you find the house with the unsecured WLAN broadcasting. Thats an idea, but I doubt anyone (in my area) has broadband and a WiFi! You know the population up here is barly over 2000... Been there... Done that...
  15. quote:Originally posted by The_Rocks:I have put a couple of different ones together and posted them on the web. Please feel free to use them...since I got the ideas from you guys anyway. I put them in PDF format to make it easy. Excellent job The_Rocks! I put the link in my bookmarks and I'll probably use them on my next cache! Thanks! Been there... Done that...
  16. quote:Originally posted by hammack:I went after a couple caches last night and was stalked by a gay cruiser in a SUV while I was going after basketball card cache #5 The log describes the entire adventure. 19. quote:Originally posted by bitbrain:Oh no! No Chuckie! But it only takes you _five minutes_ to set up and take down your tent... Yep, and I'll miss all those trips to the can too. Even if I did take the long way. heh heh Hollar when you plan another one though. Only 5 minutes!!! Been there... Done that...
  20. quote:Originally posted by RJFerret:OK, that's cool! Making each cache worth an amount based on visitation is brilliant. Now if the ranking adjusted itself to when _you_ started caching we'd be close to an actual comparison basis! (Regionally..) (And even pastable html to show the caches rating on it's page...) Jeremy should hire Skydiver for a new stats section Yea, I agree its a great idea for a stat page based on the visitation. I wish I knew how to start my own for my area. Been there... Done that...
  21. ...They could go caching together... Been there... Done that...
  22. I got the MeriColor, but man I wish they slapped a electonic compass in there. I'm almost tempted to trade it in for a MeriPlat. I love the color but I also like love the upgradeable memory. Thats the only downfall I see of the ColorTrak or else I would of traded it in when they came out. I wish there was a way to upgrade the MeriColor and put a eletric compass in there but I can't see that really happening. Been there... Done that...
  23. Well I know Skydiver has one for his area. I'd like to know how he gets his data, cause I'd like to set up a simmular one for my area. Skydiver's Geocaching Point System If your're reading this Skydiver please send my your code or at least a hint!?!? Been there... Done that...
  24. It doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make it... My daughters b-day party will be on the canoe day. Hopefully I'll have my own kayak next time yall head up there. Keep me posted! Been there... Done that...
  25. quote:Originally posted by robertlipe:We don't have to specalate on receiver compatibility since it's called out in the press release. Wow! , I didn't know that! I was hoping they would come out with some new software with direct route capibilites. I guess I should read the Magellan website more often. Been there... Done that...
