  1. Sorry, you've exceeded your allotment of questions. If anyone else cares to ask the question I'd be happy to answer. So, no lawsuit. You didn't threaten a lawsuit, either? SCNR, Gert

    Pq Delays??

Same problem here. 3 PQ that have run according to the mycachepage, but none of them arrived in my mailbox. Even tried two different email addresses, so it's not the provider filtering them out (I'm dead sure mine doesn't anyway) cheers, Gert

    Recent Updates

Hi Jeremy, since a few days I am noticing the following "problem" when I do a country search (e.g. like this one) or a PQ preview and then view one of the cache pages. When I then hit the back button in my browser (IE6) to get back to the list it asks to explicitily reload the page (repost form data). It's not a problem really, just a little bit annoying. cheers, Gert
  4. Hi Jeremy, That does work for states, but it's not so comfortable for countries. There an extra click on the seek button is needed... cheers, Gert
  5. A small bug: The date shown besides the logs on the QuickView tab are not the dates of the log (i.e. found the cache), but the date of when I entered the log (i.e. submitted it to gc.com). Sort order appears to be by the date of the log. Gert
  6. Just tested it on one of my caches (GCF004) that definitely had a TB in the past, the link was not there. I tried even editing the page, but the link didn't "return" Gert
  7. don't like the layout too much (but I'll get over it ) but: the Gallery rocks! Short cuts make long delays.
  8. Now I got one too. And even less than two hours after I submitted the cache! Bravo! Short cuts make long delays.
  9. quote:Originally posted by Jamethiel:We used to get an automatic e-mail when we submitted a cache and a e-mail when it was approved. Since when do we receive emails when a cache is approved? I get one when it is submitted and the next one is the log from the first finder cheers, Gert Short cuts make long delays.
  10. For me it would be enough if the paragraph about 'premium member services' were gone. (How often am I supposed to read that?) I mainly use my cache page to access my own cache pages. Before I became a charter member a click on "my cache page" was enough, now I need to scroll down to get the list. BTW: how long will the PQs be "still in beta"? cheers, Gert Short cuts make long delays.

  12. Jeremy, quote:Originally posted by Jeremy:You thought wrong. MapPoint does turn by turn directions, so in my opinion, is best. That might be your opinion, but I just submitted a cache and noticed the new link. I clicked the link and tried to zoom in, but - nothing. The cache is outside the US (in Austria, but I also tried a cache in France) When I try to zoom in, the scale changes but the map I see, doesn't change. It looks about the same of what usually displayed on the map pages (i.e. it simply sucks) Zooming out works. They do have the map data for the area, when I enter my home address in the mappoint homepage, I get a detailed map. Gert Short cuts make long delays.

  14. ...that and the username. Like this [LOG] UserX found CacheY [LOG] UserY couldn't find CacheZ Short cuts make long delays.
  15. Has anyone received any email (Notifications of owned or watched caches, mail from other user) from this site, since Jeremy announced the problem was 'fixed'. I certainly didn't... Gert
  16. quote:Originally posted by sbell111:I notice that the title to the watch list page now reads 'Manage Watch Lists'. Is this a clue that premium members will get multiple watch lists in the future? I think it refers to the Cache-Watchlist and the TravelBug-Watchlist. Gert Short cuts make long delays.
  17. Same here But it seems to depend on which country you search. Austria, Germany, Belgium, Cayman don't work. Australia seems to work fine. cheers, Gert Short cuts make long delays.
  18. quote:Originally posted by smenzel:Graz. That's the town with the castle up on the hill (small mountain) overlooking the town with a well that goes down to the river below, isn't it? Yup, you're right. And there's a cache up on that hill, too. Besides, it's also the town where big Arnie was born Gert Short cuts make long delays.
  19. quote:Originally posted by Alan2:johnkal is making an interesting point. What happened to the metric measurements for examplke that show on the "caches nearest to" page. Only miles show now. Both miles and metric distances showed before???? You can now switch between metric and miles Since those crappy miles are default now I'd also prefer to be able to configure this in my preferences. But I think Jeremy is already planning so. cheers Gert Short cuts make long delays.
  20. Hi! I recently saw two cars in my town with the licence plates G*CACHE 1 and G*CACHE 3 (G being the code for my hometown - Graz, Austria) The funny thing was that the cars were rather small (Minis) maybe they were just cacheboxes on wheels Gert Short cuts make long delays.
  21. Hi Sanctus, I found that cache in February and as far as I remember they confirmed pretty fast. I'd say you should log it and send them the solution at the same time once more. If you want to be absolutely sure that your answer is correct, mail it to one of the previous finders (e.g. me ) to be on the safe side. cheers, Gert Short cuts make long delays.
  22. Hi Jeremy, quote:Originally posted by Jeremy: Visit any cache from your nearest cache page and there is a link to the map. Also, doing a search from the front page by state still has a link to the state map. Unfortunately this is only true for caches in the US. Have a look at for example this cache in Austria! Keep up the good work! Gert Short cuts make long delays.
  23. Hi Jeremy, Nice job, but... There seems to be no way to bookmark the result of a search. This was the main way I entered the GC.com site. Also my old bookmark link does not work anymore (All caches in Austriahttp://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?country_id=227&submit3=GO) Also selecting a country on the main page and clicking GO doesn't work (it does work for states) cheers, Gert Short cuts make long delays.
  24. quote:Originally posted by Cheesehead Dave:You could always put them http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=29352 until they turn back up... Does is add any miles to the bug? Gert Short cuts make long delays.
