  1. Thanks for the instructions on trackables inventory. Yep. Click on it, back out, click on the next one, back out. Our inventory is now in sync. argh!
  2. Same issue here but it seems to be fixed now. On and Off problem over the last 2 years. Chrome, Firefox, IE, laptop and desktop.
  3. Geo Tour facts from PTCDOGWALKERS. As 2 avid geocachers who spent over a year talking with the Visitors Bureau about a tour, we finally managed to get all the parties together and make a plan. It was made very clear from the start that WE would handle the placement, page listings, hints, waypoints and maintenance for the first year. Free of charge. We did put up roughly $500 of our own money to insure the containers were weatherproof and presented a good impression to those that came. We neither received nor asked for reimbursement. In addition, we also donated 6 of our caches to the city simply because we had the foresight to know that several locations were a part of the city that needed to be highlighted. Were it not for several local geocachers that freely allowed us to adopt their caches and archive if needed, our tour would have been markedly different. As for the coin, the Bureau had them struck without consulting us. Their thoughts were that if we do not do a Geo Tour, we can use these for other events. And they have, golf tournaments, 5K races, etc. Not trackable yet no one has refused to finish the tour and take the coin. "A signature part of life in Peachtree City." According to the last GS brochure, a tour starts at $5K. There are other options, $10K and $20K. We cannot say how much the passports, cache cards, etc cost but we can say the Visitors Bureau did a great job in bringing together a nice little geo tour. As it relates to collection of data. Basically, there is very little. Our tour has a simple survey sheet at the end. "How many in your group", "Did you stay in a hotel here", "Did you eat in a restaurant here.", "Did you shop while here.". It also asks for optional info, City, State and email if you would to like further info about the area. If there is anyone out there who has been contacted without giving permission, please let us know. Be advised we are in the early stages of adding 8 to 10 more geocaches to this tour for the second year and including local business entities as partners. A prize at end yet to be determined. To all those who have done our tour, Thank you. To all those who have yet come. Good luck and by all means, Cache On.
  4. We recently stopped getting notice of new caches in the area. Set up for Traditional, Multi and Mystery/Puzzles. Neither the Android nor the Galaxy tablet receive notices anymore. Same email address as with the account. Range is 7 miles. 3 recently published within 3 miles but no notice. Any help here ? On the notifications page there is a check box - Enable subscriptions - it is checked right now but I do not understand it's meaning. Thanks All.
  5. Just kicked off a new Geo tour and you folks revamped the front end ?? We do not like it and neither does anyone locally. God Bless those folks from out of town who struggled through it. Change is good sometimes but not always. No fav points for this one...
  6. Garmin 60 CSx is sold. Etrex 10 is sold.
  7. Upgrading our arsenal....$170.00 60CSx with USB cable, car charger serial cable, original Trips & Waypoints disc, hand lanyard. Don't have the belt clip. But I do have the original box (must be worth a buck or two. Also $50.00 Etrex 10, USB cable & owners manual (like that's worth anything). Perhaps one day Garmin will produce an owners manual that is actually worth reading. Contact ptcdogwalkers@gmail.com for details. Cache On, folks
  8. Looking for a 60Csx. Is it still avaliable? Send details to redavis50@comcast.net. Thanks
  9. Can someone tell me how to add an FB link to our individual cache pages (139)? We have a local FB page, GeocachingPeachtreeCity (GA) and would like to add an FB link. I've tried several options but none work so far. We seem to have hundreds of newbies in the area & I'm looking for a way to keep them informed about upcoming events & general geocaching info.
  10. I have a dozen trackables out there. Each time I select one and hit "View Map", the same location comes up for each trackable. I think we have a "bug" here.
  11. I'm sure this has been discussed in other posts but I cannot clear this up. Downloading GC's directly (one at a time)to a GPS is a no brainer. All data is transfered. But when downloading files to a flash drive (gpx/loc). Not all the data comes across. I have used GSAK & EasyGPS and have been disappointed in the field because the complete file did not transfer. Bottom line...I want all the data to transfer to my Etrex 10 & my Oregon 450. Any suggestions would be greatly appreaciated. Cache On, folks.
  12. New changes on Owned caches makes it necessary to sort to see most recent finds. Now all owned caches have a "?" over the container size. Hate to complain but it's not better than before. Thank you.
  13. Until recently I would see most recent founds when I opened the Yours feature. Now I'm seeing a random list which needs to be sorted every time I open the tab. Is there a way to set the filter so I always see most recent finds first? Not a crisis but a bit annoying none the less. Thanks
  14. After 587 finds..I would like to upgrade. I have a Garmin Etrex 10 (used) & a Megellan Explorist 110 (used). Both in very good condition. Will include original box, manuals, cable. Shipping will be extra. $100 ea.
  15. That's Painfully Slow....Not exactly a bug report but...over the last 2 weeks we have been experiencing extremely slow or no connections to the web site. Not limited to any specific device or location. Android, Tablet, Laptop, Desktop, Verizon, Comcast. Many times we have to shut down completely & come back in only to find the same reaction. Far too many times the map shows and the icons won't respond. I have run scans on all equipment for Virus',Malware,Spyware,Trojans,Bots, etc. None found so far.
