Φίλε Zakis, Συμφωνώ ότι τα Google Maps ήταν σαφώς καλύτερα. Για μένα οι χάρτες της Microsoft είναι άχρηστοι. Το καλύτερο όμως εργαλείο είναι το Google Earth, και τα Google Maps ήταν ένα καλό preview που όμως δεν μπορεί να αντικαταστήσει το κανονικό. Με λίγο περισσότερο κόπο βλέπεις όλα τα caches που σε ενδιαφέρουν στο "ταψί". Σίγουρα η Geocaching.com έκανε ένα βήμα προς τα πίσω (και το γνωρίζει φαντάζομαι) αλλά οι λόγοι πιστεύω ότι είναι οικονομικοί. I bet all of you have came accross becharks from GYS or HMGS (Hellenic Millitary Geographical Service), the equivalent of the US NGS. I tried to log some of my finds but I didn't know how to! I was wondering if this game is only for the US. Can anybody help me with that? Regards, cyamin

The European EGNOS is fully interoperable with the North American WAAS and supporting GPSr will be able to receive the EGNOS signal. EGNOS is in test phase at the moment. For a brief description follow the link: http://www.esa.int/esaNA/GGG63950NDC_index_0.html For the broadcast schedule check: http://ravel.esrin.esa.it/docs/egnos/estb/schedule.htm The EGNOS signal is broadcasted from the IOR-E satellite. It is a geostationary one and its position is: S0 00.000 W15 30.000 The # of the satellite in Garmin receivers is 33 (or I think so ) When enabling WAAS for the first time make sure you have a clear view to the satellite. It may take several minutes to obtain a lock. When corrections for the GPS satellite are obtained, the letter 'D' appears to its signal strength bar (in Garmin receivers). I don't think it is THAT useful for geocaching, but its there and its free! Give it a try! cyamin

Γειά σε όλους! Με λένε Κώστα και είμαι νέος Geocacher. Στις περισσότερες εξορμήσεις συμμετέχει και η κοπέλα μου η Ανέστα. Μένω στη Γλυφάδα και πηγαινοέρχομαι συχνά στην Αίγινα. Το GPS που χρησιμοποιώ είναι το GPSMap 60CS της Garmin. Αυτό το καιρό ετοιμάζομαι να κρύψω και το πρώτο μου cache! Όχι μόνο να τα βρίσκουμε... Happy hunting!
