Okay thanks for the responses guys. I checked the GPS and all is set up properly. I was in rather heavy cover but still had a stong signal. I'll play with it some more and observe. Thanks for your help

I am very new to Geocaching (I found my first one today, attempted 2 others and placed one as a group about a week ago) I went out with my Garmin GPS III to a average rated cache as far as difficulty. I did not find the cache and when I got home and read the site for the cheaters I now know where that is. However according to my GPS that would be about 250-300 feet from where I thought it was. I had 11 sats locked in a good EPE rate. The one I did find was also about 50-75 feet in the wrong direction. Is it me or am I missing something.... help please. Thanks Don
