  1. Hello all, Mitsuko and Totno stay up all nite talking and discover we are just like each other. We both have same favorite movie which is "Groundhog Day". We have fallen in deep love and am plan to get married. We will not be geocache or post for some time as we are travel to Japan to meet her family. She is anxious for me to meet her twin sister (who is big race model.) I must defeat Mitsuko's father in battle to earn her hand in marriage (but I do not know Bushido?) We wish all thanks to all new geocache and e-mail friends. We will be back in here in some future, but I can not say as to when. We wanted to share our happiness to you all. We know we are in love when we both are singing our favorite song together and come to the lyrics, "Falling in love is such an easy thing to do..." and we gaze deeply into each other and know this must be the best thing to do. We wish to have this as our wedding song, but here is our difficulty, we do not have all the words. As a farewell, we ask that someone post words to our favorite oldies song so that we can sing at our wedding. (Thanks to poster.) Mitsuko writes to all that she has posted and e-mailed with: ????????????? ????????????? (She is such a big fun, I love her!) Please all wish us fortune and good time. I hope her father is not Bushido Master! Your friends in fun, Mitsuko & Tonto (How you say: two of a kind!) NJ_Tonto (Yes, Kimosabe...)
  2. I think some of this discussion is why Mitsuko has stopped being a geocacher. Some of this talk is scary to people who don't like guns. I know, it is only opinions and all of us are OK in US to have guns, but it is way too much talk about it, I think. I hope they will stop this topic so it does not scare others too. I hope to see Mitsuko again and hope she is still going to geocache some. Maybe we will just find the caches and not log in the book so no one will know she was there. I like to do that, but I still post them here so I can thank the hider for it, but I do not write so good. NJ_Tonto (Yes, Kimosabe...)

She was very nice, we had a good talk and visit together. NJ_Tonto (Yes, Kimosabe...) so any word on where she went?? She was some upset about some geocache persons (or so I gathered.) I think she was also a little afraid about it. We mostly talked about being away from past friends and how it is strange having two cultures to deal with. I think she is not going geocaching now, but I am not sure. I will have to post later as I am working now. NJ_Tonto (Yes, Kimosabe...)

  6. I am thanking all of you! This RASH (by MajicMan's command) is very great! I got my Magellan 315 and it took some hours to learn how to put in the numbers for the cache that I wanted to find on it. But, I continued and got it done. I then jumped in my car like a madman and drove to as slose as I could to the cache location. I was not believing it as I walked up and the Magellan said which way to go on one screen even with an arrow! When I was to about one hundred feet it began doing the hula dance, bnut I have learned much on the reading boards here and I know just what to do! I go to the screen with the numbers and walk around until I make it match the paper (and that took some itme!) Good think no one was around to see me dancing like that in those fallen down trees. I stopped and looked and without very hard searching I FOUND MY FORST CACHE! My heart was beating like a boy at Christmas with a large unwrapped gift!! It was both exciting and happy too! I was careful to put back the container just like I learned and in the same wa I found it too. I then went and found anopther one! It was so amazing that this little box just knows right to where the box was hidden (this second oine was in a metal box with a strong lid.) It took me a few moments to figure how to opn this box, and I felt foolish some! I am hooked and will look some more today for one more that they say is very interesting to find. I appreciate all that I have learned and am glad to be in this new game (I mean - RASH> ) I cannot type so good as I am too exscited am and am rushing out the door to get another one. 7. I am glad to here that there are interesting caches here in NJ. I am getting a GPS and will be looking for them soon. I see from the map that there are very many, and I read from the psosts that I should start with some easy ones (like the 1 and 1's.) I am very anxious and looking forward to this new "RASH" (is that right?) NJ_Tonto (Yes, Kimosabe...)
  8. Is this chat about geocaching like the IRC chats? Does it require some other programs? I would like to join in, if that is OK NJ_Tonto (Yes, Kimosabe...)
  9. Thanks, I see the joke about Kimo Sabe (funny!) I have ordered a Magellan 315 like yours. I am anxious to get it to start geocaching. I am still reading many of these messages and have learned much. I hope my GPS handheld is not to hard to understand, we will see. NJ_Tonto (Yes, Kimosabe...)

It's just a movie (feel free to list a hiding spot in another) but where would you have hidden a cache if reality wasn't? I love the movie Shrek. I never thought about a cache while I watched it, but you are right, it would be a good place for one. I am lookng forward to my GPS arrival so I can get started next week! I am home on vacation so, we are having a little contest on who can find the most before he leaves to go to a field problem in a couple of weeks. Anyway I am glad that we found this new sport it get's us all out of the house and gives us something to do as a family besides just lay around and watch tv. Thanks Geocahing.com for being brought into our lifes. P.S.- I think I have lost some weight from geocaching also. Mommy#1 Mommy#1, Thank you for your message. I too am new, as I haven't started yet. I am waiting on my GPS to order (it will be A Maggelan 315.) I am hoping that geocaching will get me out of the apartment more as all I do here in New Jersey is work and then go home and watch television. I hope like you that it gets me out more. I feel excited about it, and I am reading much on this website about it. You have many finds, have you been doing this for long time? I will not ask too many more questions, I just saw your message and felt like it was good for me too. The screen says you are from Colorado Springs and I always wanted to go there someday. Maybe if I get vacation sometime I may come there and maybe find some cashes! Enjoy your fun! NJ_Tonto (Yes, Kimosabe...)

  15. Hello, I have just began reading the Markwell FAQ and it is very good. I thank you for putting the link for it here. NJ_Tonto (Yes, Kimosabe...)
  16. Sluggo, I am just learning, and am getting a GPS. I like your advice. Someday, if I hide a cache in New Jersey, I will remember what you have said here. Thank you for helping us newbees (is that right word?) NJ_Tonto (Yes, Kimosabe...)
  17. I am new here also. I have been reading many of these messages and reading on the Internet about users opinions of their GPS units. I have decided for the Maggelan 315 unit as it is waterproof and has many nice features, and is only about $150 which I can maybe pay. I would like to find a used one, but I don't know if that is a good idea. Has any persons here bought used GPS and how did you enjoy it? NJ_Tonto (Yes, Kimosabe...)

I have been looking on the Internet alot about gpss and have learned much of what the owners are saying. I have also been reading much of these messages here (but there is too much I do not yet understand on here.) I beleive that I am decided about the Maggelan 315 as it seems to be good features and is waterproof and not so expensive. If I have pain using it, can I ask more for your help? (I thank you in advance if I can!) I will soon order it, or maybe check out Wal-Mart too. Thanks to all for the help and information! (I try the smiley here --) NJ_Tonto NJ_Tonto (Yes, Kimosabe...)

  23. I am not sure, but, Amazon sells a book titled, "The Straight Dope Tells All" which has this quote about it: Where else are questions like "Does 'kimosabe' actually mean 'chicken guano?'" But this page tells truth about it. http://www.old-time.com/misc/kemo.html And it is 2 words, kemo sabe, being Arapaho for "faithful friend". Does this answer the request, MajicMan? 24. My brother says this is the right place to post this question. What is the cheapest gps hand held that I can use for playing this game? I have seen him do it with his Maggelan with the square antenna but he says he paid about $250 for and that is too much for me to play. Yes, Kimosabe...
  25. Thank you to each of you responded here. I am still reading through these many psots (and there seem to be zillions of them.) I am doing research on gps hand hleds and am liking the waterproof feature. I thought Edison is small compared to people like New York and Los Angeles (which I hear has many cashes and hunters there.) I will do the search by zipcode as one of you said and see what is near to 08820. BLT (is that a sandwich?) - Why does Edison cause you shivers? Renegade - is the Venture waterproof? Thanks for al of your help. I will keep reading through your many conversations here and get better understanding of this. Many parts of it seem very complex, and I do not take it in right?
