I always delete cookies. At home I'm never bothered with captchas but now at my holiday address I have to go through multiple captcha sessions. Really annoying. Please cut the captcha.

Thanks for your reply, Palmetto. In fact we just adopted a cache straight from the cache owner and had no problems maintaining it. However the caches with problems were adopted from a co who passed away. The actual transfer was done by the Groundspeak supportdesk and not via the adoption mechanism.

We have adopted a multi cache a few years ago. Due to changed surroundings we need to move the cache and to correct a few other waypoints. Normally, being a cache owner, you can open the waypoint list and add, modify or remove waypoints. But in an adopted cache the buttons for editing the waypoints are missing. We have had this problem before with another adopted cache and asked the reviewer to assist us. But we think that this issue should be resolved. Thanks, Pieter and Ineke, The Netherlands. Apologees accepted, Dprovan. Now we only hope that somebody will fix it.

If an algorythm cannot do anything reasonable with the data offered then it should at least leave the data unchanged so to make the process reversible. And in the ideal case it could give an errormessage. But in the case we are discussing now the data is destroyed.

What I expect to happen is of minor importance. Somebody designed this function and had an intention with it and somebody programmed it. And I doubt that the way it works now is the way it was intended to work. However it cannot be meant to return zero coordinates when you switch to geocode address and back to coordinates.

Whenever I click the "other conversions" link on any cache page I get to the Waypoint Conversions page. There I change the coordinates form "Degrees and Minutes (MinDec)", which is the default setting, to Geocode Address. This allways gives "Seattle, WA" as result. After this any conversion will result in zero coordinates. I have to close this page and reopen it to try other conversions. I use Google Chrome version 40.0.2214.115m on a Windows 8.1 machine. The TB is weer op reis.

Sivota, Bedankt voor je reactie. Dit alles heb ik mij ook gerealiseerd. Maar omdat het winter is is de omloopsnelheid een stuk lager en het leek ons een leuke geste aan de eigenaar om de TB op deze manier een handje te helpen. Natuurlijk houden we de TB niet te lang vast. Pieter en Ineke

Anybody going to these "Spaghetti" sites?

Today we retrieved a Frensh TB from a TB hotel in Groningen, Netherlands. When we checked the goalof this TB it appeared that the owner wants the TB to travel to the Wild West (at least the placed where Wild West films were recorded) and be photografed there. Since we do not plan to go on such a journey we are looking for a geocacher who has planned to travel to the USa in short terms and is willing to grab this TB and take it to the USA. Pieter en Ineke

Wij hebben vandaag een Franse TB meegenomen uit een TB hotel in Groningen. Op de website van de TB hebben we het doel van de eigenaar opgezocht. Het blijkt dat deze de TB graag wil laten reizen naar de oorden waar Western films worden opgenomen en dat hij daar gefotografeerd wordt. We hebben het idee geopperd om een geocacher te vinden die binnenkort richting Hollywood of elders in de USA reist en deze TB wil grabben en daar wil droppen. Als je gaat of iemand weet, wil je dan reageren? Zolang dit topic niet gesloten is staat het verzoek ook nog open. Pieter en Ineke
