Somehow none of the message went through. Here it is: I have a nice Colorado 300 that I have used to find over 400 caches with. There aren't any scratches on the screen and there are just a few scuffs on the rubberized back of the unit. Everything that was in the box when I bought it is included. I do not have the box. I can send pictures if required. I am asking $300 and will include shipping via Priority mail inside of the US. Payment will be made through PayPal with shipping done on the next day.

My Garmin 60Csx Is Getting Old....
RogFel replied to TexasGringo's topic in GPS technology and devices
I would have to agree with Red 90. I sold my 60CSx when I got my Colorado and have never regretted it! My wife still uses her 60CS, and I can come up with caches as accurately as she does. We have NEVER had to use hers to find a cache because the Colorado couldn't!! I see that people "bitch" about problems with the CO and the OR, and it seems like most of the complaints are, in my mind, non-geocaching issues. And this board is run by "Geocaching.com" not by Hiking.com or whatever. When I "mark" a new hide, the numbers are within .002 of what she gets with averaging 150 readings. Count me as a happy Garmin CO user. I'm sure there are more happy users out there than there are complainers that you read in this forum. After all, why write about something if there isn't anything to write about? I think most geocachers, never even use the forums for anything. So, I say dump the 60 and welcome to the 21st century!! -
I finally caught up with one of these coins. Really neat. Here in central Florida it is always in Meltdown conditions so I thought I would see if the coin would melt down before an egg would cook on the sidewalk. The egg lost and so did I!

Nuvi 7 Series. Beginners guide to TRUE paperless caching
RogFel replied to pilotsnipes's topic in GPS technology and devices
I wouldn't dream of actually leaving the car with the Nuvi in hand. The CO 300 gets you to the site easier and you don't have to worry about water etc. You will probably need a handheld unit down the road. -
Nuvi 7 Series. Beginners guide to TRUE paperless caching
RogFel replied to pilotsnipes's topic in GPS technology and devices
Yes! And everything looks just like your screen captures from the 7xxx series! It seems like the 660 can do the 20K characters plus the colors! I think the 660 has more features of the 7xx series than the 3xx series. I only modified the macro to allow 19000 characters. I used Garmins POI loader to load the Tour Guide.gpx file into the Nuvi660. -
Nuvi 7 Series. Beginners guide to TRUE paperless caching
RogFel replied to pilotsnipes's topic in GPS technology and devices
I had a couple of minutes before my tee time, so I gave 19000 as the limiting number. It worked! So the 660 must have the same limits as the 3xx series. Now if you could get the first screen looking good! -
Nuvi 7 Series. Beginners guide to TRUE paperless caching
RogFel replied to pilotsnipes's topic in GPS technology and devices
Ok, here is what I did. I loaded cache #GC12YMH into GSAK then I ran the POI loader. The cache showed up without the logs. I then tried increasing the limit number in the macro and I couldn't get the logs to show! I then rem'd with #'s the complete "If" statement so that it wouldn't check for length. The complete cache with 9 logs showed up! I will try boosting the number to 19000 or something tomorrow and see if the limiting thing works. The 660 was real slow when paging through this cache description with all the logs. Even when you select it from the list, the Nuvi took around 5 seconds to come up with the "Go" page. -

The 7xx series works on the 660! It looks just like on the pictures above! After selecting the cache, you still get all the html until you touch "More" Hopefully you can figure this out. Thanks!!!! -
I've had all the above, Colorado is the best!!

I own the 300 and love it. There are thousands of users out there. Only a few that visit this forum have problems. I have 2 60CSx's plus the 300. I also used to use a Ipaq handheld computer so that I could go paperless. The 300 outshines the 60's and I can leave the Ipaq at home. The 400t is ok if you need terrain showing. I live FL and there isn't much terrain. I do have the US 2008 map on mine (You can pick them up for less than $50)

It left Jacksonville yesterday, on it's way to Germany!

I now have photos available, send me an email through my profile and make sure that I can get your email address. I am selling it because I bought a Colorado. Maybe a mistake????? Time will tell.

I have slightly used 60CSx for sale. I'm asking $225 + Postage or Best Offer. It works fine, no scratches on screen and just minor scuffs on the bottom rubber grip. It includes a 2 Gig Micro Sd card with Metro guide 7 on it. It contains all the maps of the US divided into 2 files. Just rename one to make it the active map. Photos will be available upon request. Payment through Paypal. Shipping from FL.
