  1. I've only just had my GC too so I'm still learning the ropes. I'm not sure if you can directly delete them from the unit itself but once you connect it to your computer, open up the Magellan drive ( mine happened to be (G:) ) and you'll find a Geocache folder. In there you'll find all the caches' you've downloaded. Hope this helps.
  2. I'm currently on my 37th cache so I'm on the look out for my first proper GPS to get me started. I'm currently using my iPhone but I'm finding that the battery takes a beating on longer days out and I'm also afraid I'm gonna drop it. Not looking for anything too basic yet nothing too technical either. I've been looking at a few threads on here and the Etrex 20 or the Magellan GC seem to come recommended. Anyone got one they might want to sell? Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks Shakey.
  3. The wife wants to get me one for Xmas. I've been looking at a few but undecided on which one to get. I don't really want a huge one, just enough to hold the bladder and maybe a jacket. Been looking at these to below but was wondering if anyone had any others they can recommend. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gelert-Hydration-Bladder-Hydro-Aquatic-2-Litre-Pack-Rucksack-19-99-free-p-p-/110975178416?pt=UK_Sports_Leisure_Cycling_Bags_Panniers_SR&var=410147078109&hash=item19d6a2d6b0 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Regatta-HiDrate-10-Litre-Hydration-Pack-/190745169717?pt=UK_SportingGoods_BackpacksRucksacks_Bags_EH&var=490109434000&hash=item2c694c4f35 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RED-2-LITRE-HYDRATION-PACK-WITH-8-LITRE-RUCKSACK-BACKPACK-WATER-CYCLING-/330831738444?pt=UK_SportingGoods_BackpacksRucksacks_Bags_EH&hash=item4d071bb64c Thanks. Michael.
  4. Thanks for the quick replies. I'm pretty new to all this so sorry for the mistake. I've deleted the logs and I'll re log them as in my possession. Thanks
  5. Sorry for my mistakes but I think I've logged two trackables down as DISCOVERED. But I've actually got them myself. I wouldn't want anybody to go there expecting to pick them up when I've got them. Is there anyway I can change the log entry? Thanks Michael
  6. There is a South Wales Facebook page if you are interested. Where in South Wales are you based? From the Rhondda. Really starting to get the bug! Managed to get a FTF yesterday. It was only because I've been glued to this site and I realised a new cache had appeared not far from my house. I made a move for it within minutes. Good job really as I got there literally seconds before one half of The Rhondda Roamers! I'm heading West on the weekend to the caravan hoping to find a few more.
  7. As mentioned in my newbie post, I'm currently using my iPhone 4 as my GPS receiver but was wondering if anyone has any advice or recommendations on getting a proper handheld unit. The iPhone seems OK but not think it'll last with all the rough terrain and bad weather we get. Does anybody else use an Iphone and how do they find it? I've been looking at the Magellan eXplorist GC 2011 which seems OK. Anybody using one? Thanks. Michael.
  8. Just happend to stumble across the Geocaching App on my Iphone and can't get enough of it. Looking forward to taking my 9yr old daughter out hunting for the caches! Just happens that there seems to be quite a few located near to where I live and in fact, there are two literally less than 500 yards from my house. Seems like a fun way of taking the kids on an adventure and keeping fit at the same time! Thanks.
