  3. I think changing what you call them is WAY less important than changing the system so they don't get included in the find counts with other types of geocaches. They should either be counted separately, or not at all.

  5. Perhaps it's a nit, but on the MobiPocket output, the Terrain rating precedes the Difficulty rating. On the website, Difficulty precedes Terrain. This creates confusion, because in our small caching group, we actually speak phrases like "two-three", and "two-and-a-half-two" with the understanding that it is Difficulty followed by Terrain. We'd really like to see the MobiPocket output be in the same sequence as it is on the web site, Difficulty first, then Terrain. Thanks for considering this change. NdP PS: This doesn't matter to me at all, but I did notice that the first page of the MP output seems to have an area for a date and time stamp. The date is showing up, but not the time.
  6. Another one for the list: Would it be possible to rearrange the MobiBook output so that the cache title displayed before the "date hidden"? The reason for requesting that is because when you use a Table of Contents link to get to a cache page, the date hidden appears as the first line. If you then try to bookmark that page (and bookmarks are a MAJOR timesaver in this application), the title of the bookmark defaults to the first line, IOW, the date hidden. If the cache title could precede that, then the default bookmark name would become the cache title. It would be even cooler if the bookmark default could have both the cache title and the waypoint number, but I'm trying to be realistic. Thanks for considering it.
  7. I haven't been able to come up with a way of generating a pocket query listing all unfound locationless caches, because the query routine insists on some location qualifier. If you could pick all the countries AND all the states, it might work, but those are mutually exclusive. It also seems that it will not accept a radius greater than 500 mi/km. If it did, you might be able to get it to work by entering the diameter of the earth. Or drop the location qualifier if the only cache type selected is locationless. Or am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

First make sure you've got plenty of free memory in your PDA (see your owner's manual if you don't know how to find that; they're all different). I don't have my PDA with me right now, but I think it was about 650k for the reader plus whatever you'll need to hold your query results. Now go here and download the version of MobiPocket Reader you need for your PDA (Palm or Pocket PC). It's free. Install the reader, again consulting your PDA manual if necessary. Then, once you receive your query result file, install it (on the Palm, data files get installed the same way as applications; I don't know how it's done on a Pocket PC). Then the next time you synchronize with your desktop, you should have both the reader and the "book" downloaded on to your PDA. One of the books that the software installs is a help file on how to use MobiBook, but I think MobiBook is pretty intuitive. MobiBook is also going to install something called WebCompanion. If you want to get rid of it (which seems to be a popular decision) just delete its shortcut from your Start Menu's "Startup" folder on your desktop. That's about as simple as I can make it.
  9. Very cool, thanks Jeremy, Elias, and anyone else involved. Everybody seems to have covered my wish list for the MobiBook stuff already. I'd like to add two requests regarding the LOC file. 1) Can the records be generated with the "Geocache" icon (and "Geocache Found" if found caches are requested) instead of the generic "Waypoint" icon? 2) Can the numeric portion of the waypoint ID be zero-filled (i.e., GC02CF instead of GC2CF)? That would be consistent with what is now on the web site and they will sort more logically. Thanks again.
