  1. Garmin GPS III+'s sell for just over $150 on ebay usually with a lot of accessories. Might want to check those out. I have owned my III+ for almost three years now, and I am very happy with it. Waterproof, mapping, sunrise and set, and the map data you can add to it if you need it make it a great unit. I think the only thing I would replace my III+ with would be a GPS V.

  3. I own this software and the US west is the install disk. The install will have you insert each disk in turn. After the software is installed, you launch the program, and can open any of the maps throughout the US. You will need to insert the disk for the region you are wanting to veiw, but you should be able to see any US location. There was a cd key however, that you will need to unlock the program.
