  1. Hello, I am SpecialDelivery. I live and cache in the MotherLode. I've been offline for awhile, but am back now. I'm a single, gay, delivery driver who also produces a Podcast I've enjoyed your caches Iso, even the ones I could not find yet. I am happy to see this topic, hope it takes off.
  2. I have posted the pics from my cache "White Tiger", which finally filled up. The photos can be viewed HERE I will be placing some new caches around, up here in the foothills in some interesting areas (now that I have some time, and am getting back into the geocaching groove....) Mark
  3. Glad you like the shirt Bill. It's an old forest service tee shirt. There are not too many choices in Jamestown, so I'll let you guess which cache this one might be. Anyhow, the call to the sheriff dept that was quoted took place on Thursday (according to the newspaper). I have yet to see a log for this cache that is dated as found on 3/11...the latest I see is 3/6. Might be a vacationer who has yet to log this one as a find, might not even know that the muggles were watching him. I just thought the little blurb was funny, since I had found this cache awhile ago. It's hard to be subtle at this location.
  4. A cache in Jamestown may have been muggled....here's the blurb from the "News of Record" Mar 15, Union Democrat newpaper.... "8:39 a.m., Jamestown — A caller said a man put a small Altoids box underneath an ore cart in Rocca Park then drove away in a small green car." Hmm..sounds very suspicious...and who was the cacher that was spotted??
  5. Wow, can I come down from the foothills to see this show and get a bite to eat??
  6. In my previous post I should have used a different title....what I am looking for is some caches with disabled-PERSON access....regular caches that a person with bad legs can get to without too much trouble. He can walk with a cane, but not very far. I've directed him to a few caches up here that I think he can get to....was just wondering if there are more in the valley that would be fun for him. Thanks folks. PS: I'm headed down to Modesto today to check out a few caches. Not sure which to hit yet....
  7. Hey folks, I took a friend on several caches up here in the Mother Lode...he's hooked now...got his Etrex Venture off Ebay just a few days after bringing him along! Anyhow, he has a hard time getting around...but would like to find some regular caches rather than the micros/virtuals he has found so far. He can walk with a cane, but not for large distances or in rough terrain. I have told him about a few appropriate caches up here ("Acorn 28" and "Take A Hike"). Was just wondering if you folks had any others in mind that might be appropriate. Thanks. [This message was edited by SpecialDelivery on February 05, 2003 at 07:36 PM.]
  8. Just here to say I have placed a normal cache up here in the Motherlode. A hike, and a normal cache to be found. There is a virtual here also, a good trek away from this cache. These 2 are down at Natural Bridges. I'm gonna place a fun one this summer, in an area most of you CVC have not visited. You want fun areas up here..you ready to HIKE?
  9. Hey CVC folks. Mark in Sonora here. Finally made it to the forums. Although I'm approaching 50 finds, I still feel pretty new at this. I have a question about deleting Logs...I placed a virtual here in Sonora with a mis-directing description. The title was a clue, but the description was meant to destract a bit. A cacher went to the location that the description seems to refer to, spent about an hour researching the answer then posted a FOUND IT log. Well, the answer was wrong...and was an answer about a location located about 3 blocks from where the virtual actually is...I felt bad about deleting the LOG because he had spent so much time at the museum...but dang, I don't think he used the GPS?!? Was it proper to delete the LOG, and send an email telling why it was deleted???
