  2. I had a geocoin disapear into a cache [Ludicrous Speed (You've Gone to Plaid)] that is unpublished. Is there anyway for Groundspeak to see who might have last had the coin, if the cache is no longer available? Also, why isn't the cache page available at least for archival purposes? Here is the coin page: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=455756 BTW, I just changed the name of the coin to reflect its plight. I doubt it will help it get released back into a cache, but ya never know.
  3. I think you are being too literal in your interpretation of the "goals" for each month. I don't read the rules as saying that the picture has to have the word discovery in it. Rather the goal is to have a picture of the GJTB that uses the theme of "discovery". This could mean that the picture has the words discovery in it, sure. But it could also mean that the picture depicts an act of discovery, a location of discovery, etc. Regarding your point about editing of the pictures, I agree with you 100%. Those photos do violate the rules (but many of them are fun to look at!) BTW, we are new to geocaching and weren't around last year for the 2005 Jeep TB contest. Were there this many entries last year, because I am amazed at how many photos people have submitted!!
  4. Ok... here is our entry submitted on 8/4/06 (5th page upper left corner) Discovering the Peaceful Beauty of Nature
  5. How about this one: or this one:
  6. Actually, I just bought my Vista C from GPScity and I didn't see anything on their website about it being discontinued.
  7. I found an online e-tailer selling the Vista C for $230. It seemed to be a good price and had the features I wanted. The Vista Cx is much more expensive, so I bought the Vista C. Now I read that it is a discontinued model! What implications if any does that have for me, as a new Vista C owner? Thanks in advance!
