Don't forget, if you are close to the USA border you should be able to find logable benchmarks on our side. Here in Ontario along the St. Lawrence Seaway there are many US benchmarks on our side. If you need an assist in finding them in your rovince just email me offline. Binrat

You know you're a Geocacher when...

You're in an art gallery and see a perfect spot in one of the pieces to hide a cache and ask where it was painted/shot. -
I would try using Garmin Mapsource, this may solve the problem. I notice you mentioned Mapquest, the Garmin may not like Mapquest. Binrat

Garmin Nuvi - True Paperless Geocaching
Binrat replied to pilotsnipes's topic in GPS technology and devices
5+ tries and I still get the same error. Keeps telling me I don't have enough disk space. Windows Vista with tons of empty disk space NUVI 760 with Empty 8Gb Card I used all the software suggested and even updated all of it, except POL Loader. My brother uses the exact same set-up and equipment. Hope someone can help. Binrat -
Don't forget to add "Betwixt and Between" to your "must do" list, snicker. And if I am available I am willing to show you around. Binrat

Eureka, that's the cure I have now learned something interesting. Thanks for all the help everyone. Binrat

Well, I tried a number of different cobinations to get it to show up but nothing worked. I think I will just use the CAR I have but will take the time to trace the route by looking at the Geocaching.com Google maps. I think this way I can pick up what I am missing and add them manually. Binrat

I created a Caches Along a Route from CFB Kingston to Meaford and have driven this route twice in the last month. Each time I run it I miss a cache in a rest stop near Clarington, GCNHW2. I redid the query with no restrictions and it still missed it. Now for the really weird part, it misses all the caches between Newcastle and Port Hope, its like a Black Hole. I have confirmed this by viewing the CAR map and the Geocaching Google map. Anyone have any idea why this is occuring? Binrat

I could go on and on with a great list of caches, but just a few suggestions come to mind. The Body GCYYMZ Baking Bread GCH0P2 Trailerpark Geocachers meet Bigfoot GCRPNB Man, I could go on and on. I suggest posting a note to the CCC Forums at http://www.ottawageocaching.com/forum/ Binrat

Think RAM Mount, and easily moves to your car if you get the right set-up. http://www.gpscentral.ca/accessories/60cxaccessories.htm Binrat

I havn't heard of anything at that time, but just remember you need to submit your Event Cache at least 2 weeks prior to the event date. If this is not done your event may not be published in time, and it also allows out of towners to plan ahead to attend. Binrat
