  1. I agree with a previous poster - the value for me has been the fun in caching, and of course the time spent with my wife and kids doing so. Yesterday I found a 100 peso coin in a cache. Turns out this particular coin was minted before Mexico hacked a few zeros off of its currency. With today's exchange rate, the coin is officially worth less than a penny. But, its a neat coin, and my secondary hobby with geocaches is to collect unique coins I find, so consider this one added to the collection.
  2. M is my first initial, K is my wife's, Senn is our last name. Pretty boring!
  3. I used to do some pretty silly things with terrain - like most following that little arrow on the GPS seems an easy thing to do. Things improved some when I started printing off Google maps of my caching targets. They really improved when I went paperless with a Delorme PN-40. Now I download the aerial imagery (at a minimum) of every location I hit. Trails are always pretty well defined, and I can choose the best routes pretty easily. I like to hike / climb, so sometimes I'll do terrain for the heck of it. Yesterday the trail route back to my car was about a mile, and the uphill over the rocks route was considerably less. Why not?
  4. Look, its a standard disclaimer. I'm no dealer, just a guy with a GPS to sell. It works perfectly now, but I'm just making it clear that once you buy, its yours. If it breaks a week after you buy it, its your issue. Most auctions for used goods on Ebay say something along those lines. By the way, I will drop to 150.00 shipped. That's as low as I go here, next is Craigslist and the 'bay. 140.00 if you are in the C-Springs / Denver area and can pickup.
  5. I have a Garmin Legend HCx GPSr for sale. I've had this unit for less than a year. It has seen some light geocaching use - in overall great shape. I've had it in a neoprene case since day 1. Case included, as is the original box, manuals, etc. - everything that comes with the unit. This is NOT a refurb, I purchased it brand new and have kept it in like new condition. I am asking $160 PayPal shipped. This is sold as is with no refunds, no returns. GPS is working perfectly. Send me an email through the forum if you are interested in it. Check my Ebay feedback for bona fides - 12 year member, 100% feedback in over 2000 transactions. Username kmsenn.
  6. Agreed. I've got a new HCx and I couldn't be happier. Very accurate, and the geocaching mode is spot on. With a premium membership to this site, its very easy to load all of the geocaches you want to go find without plugging in a bunch of numbers. When you find a cache, all you do is hit the "found" button on the HCx-- and the cache icon on the screen will go from closed to open. I also like the "find next" option-- which steers you to the next unopened cache after you find one.
