  1. Hows does one go about being thankful and then naming all the reasons for being thankful? But with thought I find myself first of all being thankful to my creater for giving me this day (one day at a time), Then thankful my family allows me to share in thier experiences and they share in mine, for being allowed to wake up every morning, and just breath oxygen and then read the paper. Turning to the Obituaries and not readin or seeing my name and picture in them (knowing this makes it a lot easier). Having friends who have no agendas and demand nothing in return. Most of all the technology and opportunity to speak out for those who may not be as fortunate as I am.
  2. I have many stories, but the one that sticks out in my minds is Where's Waldo by Capt'n Kirk and McDee. It is 292.4km south east of my home, and I never had the opportunity for sometime to get this one, drove by it likely three times, flew over it likely 6 or 7 times dreaming of the FTF in it's hide. Then just before I changed jobs I just had to stop and get this one. Wheres Waldo So I would assume I traveled back and forth over 3600 klms before stopping to get this one.
  3. Wow, seen this one sort of got buried and thought Hey everyone this is a great cause to support. I have no idea where it is in production or if it will even be produced, but I want to let the producers of this coin I still want to order my requested coin/s from and for this project. Please help support this by buying this coin.
  4. So let me see if I have this staright now too. That would be $126 USA Currency? Converted to Cdn. Currency would be what, $123.60?
  5. I have found a few groups in Manitoba Canada that Highlite geocaching and tourism in their activities. One is the Ashern Chamber of Commerce, Ashern Chamber of Commerce
  6. Thank you Ottawa and Surrounding region. What a city, I leave here today in awe, and having enjoyed myself immencely. Thank for all the wonderful caches. The hospitality as well. I achieved my goal and even had time to leave a few coins. CArryy on Caching!
  7. I must not be living right, or the gulf stream isn't in the right place for this elusive bug to find it's way to my part of Crazy Canukland. Will Light a sented candle and leave it in my window...who know now that winter is coming perhaps a little warmth in my square igloo may be what this bug needs now.
  8. Now that is just plain wrong...pictures and tracking them...defeats the purpace of tracking "coins". Myself I have lost a few, hardly ever attach anything to them, welcome emails and comments, but love just giving coins to those who drewl after em when they see the coin in their hands. I remember being upset after my first loss, then realized, I was the one who placed it into an unknown fate and accepted the crap shoot that it was, whats the difference, someone finds the coin keeps it, or someone trashes the cache and keeps it, same same to me. Keep it into perspective and keep those coins you really like and release those you've got tired of or have extras...but more importantly, just go caching.
  9. Yes indeed, So long as the "rules" does not preclude the naming of the contributer vs the name of the coins will no negate me from this opportunity. Most collectors will know who is who and the quality they represent, now as an offshoot, why not two auction, one for untrackables and one for trackable so I could mention each and ever coin that is trackable.
  10. Keeping this on track I will ask a question relating to your rules then SM. If we are not selling them for personal gain, and this is for a charity then can they be included in here. I am sure I saw somewhere you can post here if you are not selling them I.E. I produce a coin and want to sell them, but rather I am collecting them with the intent to sell somewhere else and then send the recipient the names of those who contributed? Is that not in keeping with the rules and proceedure of the web site?
  11. I have seen first hand the generosity of cachers in the forum world wide. Some one is sick they give, someone has finacial issue they help, someone goes missing from here they reach out, etc. Well a recent coin development peaked my interest, the coin being developed theough coins and pins on behalf of NAMI. I as many of you have heard am an advocate for issues surrounding Mental Health and bringing these issues out of closests world wide. Nami and other orginizations world wide do this and more. Ok here is what I am proposing to do: 1. ask all cachers, designers collectors of coins to see if they have any coins which they would concider being their last of any coins they have minted in their possession. 2. Donate one coin each (you can send it to me or anyone who would be willing to be the collection agent) so they could be sent out after. 3. take the entire collected coins, and then make one auction, yes that right one auction for the entire kitten Kaboodle. Knowing how generous the caching community is they would also know what a bargain it would be to get all these last held coins and with any luck this could be an whole bunch. 4. The entire list of contributers would be listed and once funds are collected, the entire list of people contributing, along with the funds collected be sent to NAMI directlyso they could see first hand as well who and where each person is from. Okay, thats the idea, let me know what you think and hopefully we can get this off the ground very soon...I would love to start this before mid October, but would also love to hear your ideas on this. Taking the advice of another cacher I have included the link to the NAMI web site. Of course this is an American Orginization, they are still concidered world leaders in developing policies and how Mental Illness is Researched, how persons affected are treated, and advocates, etc. Please help by contributing, NAMI
