  1. Is there a way to delete some of the pictures in my gallery at geocaching.com?
  2. Actually, I tried the My Finds and did the Add to Queue. What I've just now noticed, it's only showing those that are less than 500. I'll try again, but have to wait 7 days to see what's going to happen. On GSAK - do you happen to know what I need to do in order for the little green cache to show up next to each GC code. For some reason, only 3 appeared, with the rest are question marks. These are not mystery caches. Apparently I have something checked wrong. Thanks
  3. I've run a number of PQ's to get all my finds, which are listed on geocaching.com, into GSAK. Listed on geocaching.com, I have 356 finds. However, when PQ sends gpx of my finds, it shows only 217. I've check in PQ a number of times to see if I've done it correctly, and I thought I had. I'm sure this is a simple solution, but I can't seem to get the amount of finds listed on geocaching.com to match the PQ sent to me for the GSAK. Can you help?
  4. My iPhone app for geocaching shows everything. I'm on the search for a new GPS. Do others show hints and comments like the iPhone?
  5. Well, I too downloaded Garmin Communicator and it will not send coords from www.geocaching.com to my Garmin Vista Cx. I continually get an error message. I emailed Garmin support and they said they don't handle support for geocaching.com and that I should contact them. HA - getting support for geocaching.com is like asking my dog to wash the windows !
  6. Thanks. How to I tell it to begin a "New Search"? I thought I played around with all the buttons, but I must have missed that part. Thanks for the help. I'll be going back in that direction in March and want to have it all figured out. Karen
  7. I doubt that it was any interference as I'd been in communication with a fellow cacher in Moscow. He not only shared where his cache was located, but others in Russia. He said there was no issue using a GPS, just don't have it out and parade it around in front of the corrupt cops. (btw - they are corrupt. I was pulled over and the guy wanted a bribe. Thank goodness my passenger knew the right words to say, cause after checking the paperwork, he let us go for a mere 750 rubles - approx $35.)
  8. Hello everyone- I recently got back from 4 weeks in Ukraine and Russia. I took my Garmin Vista Cx to grab some caches. Whenever I turned it on, it wouldn't get satellite reception. In Moscow I even tried it 50 km outside the city, in an open field. Along the Volga River, I stood for over 5 minutes waiting for satellite reception. I saw the GPS searching and searching and searching and maybe it grabbed one or two. Couldn't tell for sure. I have no problem in US. Is there something I should be doing? My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to all who may have lost their home, most especially, to the kids (big and small) who have been so badly frightened by this fire storm.

  10. Have a quick question for the friendly folks on this forum. I'm traveling to Russia in 3 more weeks. I'll do a tiny bit of caching close to the hotel. I'm taking extra batteries and should be Ok. Here's the question - I'm also taking my handheld Sony PSP which has an internal rechargable battery. Russia voltage is 220. The PSP is 110/220. What does that mean? Anyone who travels alot, do you know if I will be able to recharge the PSP. Thanks. Karen_in_Coronado
  11. I use GSAK and Cachemate to get waypoints to my Palm. Right now all I see are 5 logs. How do I increase this # so that when out in the field, I can read more? Thanks
  12. My Garmin Vista Cx is full of waypoints. I want to clear a bunch of them. The manual shows how to delete one-by-one. How do I delete, say, 50 of them?
  13. I am so disappointed in my new Vista Cx. More often than not it is 30+ feet away from a cache. This morning I went caching with a friend. She has a Magellan. Her GPS ground zero'd at all four caches, while mine had me further away. At one particular cache, she was right on it and mine continually said 378' more to the west. So, how does that happen? We both inputted the coordinates manually. My Datum is on WGS84, my North Reference is True, my Lock On Road is set to OFF. My fellow cacher friends have GPSr's that often out perform mine, yet I paid more money than they paid for theirs. I'm discouraged and wish I'd bought another unit.
