Glad to see the congresswoman was from New York. Blue stater imposing her will on red states. Everyone can have their own opinion, but please don't say that more people will enjoy it after it is turned into wilderness. The purpose of the wilderness designation is to limit the use of the area. Island Park in Idaho is a great example of how I think we should manage the out of doors. A little bit of everything for everyone. Atv and horse trails, person only trails, some areas with tons of people and some out of the way secrets you have to work to get to. And a ton of great caches.

I think it is a fine idea. Every one afriad of being taken out should realize that a psyco could stalk any night cache and kill people. Also, if your only objection is to the cache is because you don't read cache pages, thats your own problem. I really don't think that caches should have to be accessable without a discription. If you can find a cache without the discription, great. If not, then thats what you get for being all cool. Finally, if they won't approve your cache, try another place. THere are places that try to say yes. Terracaching.com for example. They have over 300 caches in texas

There are two areas i am considering for this cache, both in idaho, and both containing blowsand. I like the areas because the sand blows often and would cover up any tracks to the site rather quickly. I realize that some people might not like having to dig a little to find this cache, but i don't consider this a bad thing, I would have a great ftf prize. The rules seem to state that as long as no pointy tool is required it is ok. So i think I'll go ahead with this idea.

From the Guidelines Caches that are buried. If a shovel, trowel or other “pointy” object is used to dig, whether in order to hide or to find the cache, then it is not appropriate. So if you have to dig with a tool, its a no no. But i have a question. I want to place a cache in some sand dunes. I wonder if it would be ok to place it under the sand a foot or two, because you do not need a tool to bury it or to find it. I think it would be a fun cache to have to go diggin up the sand. People go and play in the dunes all the time, burying friends and all that fun stuff.
