I have an eTrex Yellow on sale at eBay right now! It's great as a starter GPSr. I was surprised with it's accuracy while caching. It was only used a few times. I'm only selling it because I wanted something with mapping so I upgraded. I have the books it came with as well as the Garmin serial cable to download waypoints. Check it out! The address to the eBay is: Garmin eTrex--Yellow The item number is: 170030822422

A virtual TB is where a tracking number is passed around so people can grab a travel bug they have never seen and log it through caches they or the bug have never been to. An example of one that hasn't been locked down yet may be found here. Well, that post got it locked down pretty quick. GC user Star-Beam has one with the tracking number in the TB name.

Check out this bug, owned by Star-Beam: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.as...ef-7272036eaadd Sorry I'm not as HTML savvy as the rest of you...but that link will bring you to the TB page. I didn't know there was anything wrong with "virtuals" until I read this forum line of thought. This one even has the tracking number in the title.

Okayyyy....Ewwwwww

We can do that . It seems like a nice idea. Let me see if i get it all right. Each one releases a bug for the other (do we activated and the the other adopts it or we exchange codes and each one activates the other´s bug?). The bugs will be released only with the Dog Tag (And, preferebly a label whith an explanation of it´s mission) and will colect what the cacher who grabs it wants to attach. The primary mission will be to visit as many places as he can taking photos of them. It will be a Virtual Tourist. Is that it? Regards Alberto That's a very cool idea!

Most Stringent TB Prison Rules I've seen yet
MoxieMan replied to PAWSitraction's topic in Trackables
That is HILARIOUS!!! There are a couple TB Prisons near my home that just might have "breaks" in the near future... Run! Run Away!! Run and Be Freeeeee!!! -
I have 3 TB's out there right now. The first, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, wants to travel and see every state in the US. The second, Red Sox Magic 8 Ball, wants to be photographed in as many different baseball parks as possible. And the third, Mini Blood and Fire, is a miniature version of The Salvation Army flag and wants to travel to visit different Sal. Army locations around the world. I think TB's are one of the best parts of Geocaching...other than the hunt of course.

I am looking for a used (but decent condition) Garmin iQue. If you have one you are willing to sell or know of one, please PM me. Thanks, Dave

I don't actually "make" my signature item, but I cut the wrapper off my favorite soda (Moxie) which I got my screen name from. It is a rare time that I don't have a bottle in my hand, so I said, "self, you should use the wrapper as your signature caching item...your calling card, per se". Come up with something original, and people will enjoy it...and I hope you will as well. A new Caching Fool, MoxieMan Dave

John, What are the base maps loaded into it? And do you have and of the expansion map CD-Roms? Dave

SOLD...thanks for the inquiries. MoxieMan

Sorry all who asked...it is now sold.

Sorry, I don't have any cables that go with the unit. Dave

I've used this GPSr only a few times. My wife bought me a new eTrex so I don't need the 40 anymore. It's in good working order and comes with manual and training video. I'm thinking $30 + shipping. Let me know. MoxieMan Dave

haven't had a near death experiance caching...yet...but yesterday I was bushwacking my way around trying to look for a hanging micro (it had been moved because of muggles so a DNF!). The underbrush was pretty thick. I got stuck, well my shoe anyway. My sneaker laces got tangled in the growth. I had to slip my foot out and cut the branches away...and I've only been caching about 2 weeks now. If this is how it always is, I'm looking forward to the next ones!

I enjoy golf and I'm new to caching, but I enjoy it as well. I have more friends that golf so that is the main readon I golf (it's not because I'm good!). ) Anyway, combining both is good.

I think it's a great idea! Obviously there have been similar "deliveries" with TB's, but I like it...plan on dropping my first post card off this week to be delivered north of the border.

I got mine from the great and powerful soda from New England: Moxie! http://www.hometownfavorites.com/moxie-soda.htm Good stuff! Some people say it tastes like medicine. It's like a really harsh root beer. MoxieMan Dave
