  1. I did a series of Washington Quarters...
  2. Everything must go! Now's your chance to buy the 2006, 2008, and 2010 Washington Quarter geocoins. All are antique silver finish, 1-5/8" x 3.5mm, unactivated, and trackable on geocaching.com with a custom icon. The 2008 and 2010 coins have a reeded edge, just like a real quarter. The 2006 coin has a gold finch (state bird), the 2008 has a salmon, and the 2010 has a black bear. All coins are $10 each plus $2.50 for shipping. Email me if you're interested!
  3. Something tells me your test environment doesn't match your production environment.
  4. Good idea, but you've made a mistake. Your petition is directed towards Groundspeak, when it should have been towards Google. It seems many on here don't, but I completely understand why Google has had to start charging for their service, and hence why Groundspeak had to make the change that they did. You're wrong on this. It is a Groundspeak issue. Groundspeak created a product with Google maps and then sold it to their customers. Google is/was a supplier to Groundspeak. If I have some issue with the air conditioner in my car I fault the car manufacturer and not the supplier of the air conditioner.
  5. This is an interesting case of some of the limitations in Groundspeak's business model. They've depended on inexpensive 3rd party providers for things like maps and reviewers to make their model work. As demonstrated by Google, the value of the map set is more than Groundspeak's been paying and now they're getting bit by it. I've seen companies buy other companies just to prevent this kind of thing from happening, but they probably had more money than the frog does. I wonder what would happen to their profitability if all the reviewers decided to stop working for them for free. I tell you, that's quite a racket they have going!
  6. I'll adopt the traditionals if you like.
  7. I couldn't find anywhere that says what the penalty is for being caught without a permit. Is it basic trespassing? Who enforces the rules?
  8. Follow this link to see the most "favorited" in Washington: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?state_id=48&submit2=Submit&sortdir=desc&sort=fav
  9. I think the root of the problem here is that we're trying to deal rationally with an irrational person. It never works. The TB's he has are as good as gone. It's time to ban him.
  10. Let me suggest an additional option. When it became clear that NBJPoppa had held onto two of my coins for more than a year (without logging them) I wrote him and asked him to not pick up any of my trackables anymore. I plan to delete his logs for all my trackables and caches if I catch wind of him moving my coins again. If he received similar (respectful) emails from 50 local cachers he might get the drift.
  11. We had a great day today cleaning up Taylor Park. Thanks to everyone who helped out!
  12. I am pleased to announce that Magellan has chosen to sponsor the Taylor Park CITO on 4/23 in Duvall, WA. This is one of only seven CITO events chosen by Magellan from around the world. They will be donating a Magellan eXplorist GC GPS device as well as some smaller items, which we will raffle off at the CITO event. Pretty cool if you ask me. Hope to see you there!
  13. Thanks to everyone for your interest in the 2010 WA Quarters. As of now, they're sold out. If you haven't paid or arranged pay/pick yours up at GW8, I'm afraid you're out of luck. Thanks again! Josh FnE
  14. Looks like I'll be meeting lots of you at GW8! I will be there (for sure) from 11am-1pm...maybe earlier, maybe later. I'll have all your coins and then some...I think I will also have some of the 2008 Quarters for sale in celebration of GW8. See you there!
  15. Would picking up at Geowoodstock be an option? I'm fairly sure I'll be there ALL day. Yeah, that's an option. I'll update the thread when I know what time I'll be there if others are also interested in meeting up there.
  16. The 2010 Washington Quarters have arrived...and just in time for Geowoodstock! Tonight, I will contact each of those on the list with payment instructions. You have the option of PayPal or arranging for pick-up at my convenience. I'm requesting payments be made by midnight June 30th (one week from today) unless otherwise arranged. Thanks again for your interest! Josh Forty-n-Eight

  20. The proof coins are in! There are still 35 silver coins available. Respond to this thread to get in on 'em!
  21. Hello all! I approved the artwork for the quarters today. I'll post pictures of the proofs when they come in. All the gold coins have been claimed (those with a "*" by their name). There is a chance a reserved 5-set will not be purchased in which case I will work down the list of people who have shown an interest. There are only 35 silver coins left! I will likely post to the general geocoin forum next week (kind of cool most of the coins are going to local cachers!). Here's the list: NWCREW: 5* Jug & Roon: 1 Coreynjoey: 5* troublejv: 5* hydnsek: 5* jholly: 5* Shaggy, Scooby, and Velma: 2 rockitbiker: 5* WATreasureHunters: 2 Toojin: 5* MtnMutt: 5* FunnyNose: 5* Alnilam: 2 GeoBroke: 1 AndrewRJ: 1 The Jester: 5* Terrible Ts: 5* GrievousAngel: 2 Kiersolvd: 5* Crystlcryptr: 5* Patudles: 1 Hoddevik: 5* chaosbooboogunner: 5* jtthjones: 1 zadidoll: 2
  22. Here's what we have to date: NWCREW: 5 Jug & Roon: 1 Coreynjoey: 5 troublejv: 5 hydnsek: 5 jholly: 5 Shaggy, Scooby, and Velma: 2 rockitbiker: 5 WATreasureHunters: 2 Toojin: 5 MtnMutt: 5 FunnyNose: 5 Alnilam: 2 GeoBroke: 1 AndrewRJ: 1 The Jester: 5 Terrible Ts: 5 GrievousAngel: 2 Kiersolvd: 5 Crystlcryptr: 5 Patudles: 1 Hoddevik: 5 That means 82 of the 125 coins are spoken for and only one gold quarter is left in the last 5-coin set. Below is the mint art. Thanks everyone!
