  1. Just fyi, some of the GPS recievers will actually give you a +/- on the accuracy. I use a Garman GPSmap 60CSx and it has a field on the map screen that can give me an accuracy on distance. It has helped out on some caches, as Dad's GPS was giving him a +/- 30 feet accuracy, while mine was at +/- 10 feet. Helped us narrow down our search field greatly!
  2. There is one on the Geocacher University site. Here is the link to it: http://geocacher-u.com//index.php?option=c...3&Itemid=58 Hope its what you are looking for!
  3. Howdy all! I'm a part-time cacher who has finally got more time to get involved in it! With any lucky, I'll be a full-time cacher soon. I've only gotten a few sites, mostly with my Dad. My Dad got me hooked on geocaching up in Michigan. I live in Carrollton, which is halfway between Louisville and Cincinnati, and on the western border of the state. Anyone have special tips or advice to share on KY caching?
  4. Hey, Muse, I know how you feel. I'm a lone 'cacher as I don't have any family or friends nearby. I also live in an area that is saturated with drugs, mainly marijuana. Some work buddies have warned me about some areas to avoid, but it makes me nervous going after some of the caches. I do not like having to guess where to start at, especially if looks like I'll have to cross private property to get to the cache. I'm not really in fear of my life or anything, but I do get kind of nervous. These are weird times and you can never really be sure about strangers. I totally agree with you on this issue, and would like to see more detailed information about the areas around the caches.
