Metroguide does not route, so your unit must be routing on the basemaps, which isn't any good. Metroguide will only route if you have version 4.01, or if you have version 5 or higher & load the maps with the Sendmap program.

I'm a gadget freak & I'm always buying very expensive electronics. Like the other member mentioned, it bothers me when I see my buddies with their digital cameras, police scanners, expensive cell phones, & GPS receivers with no protection. Everytime I buy something new myself within' hours I'm already searching for protective cases. I like taking care of my goodies, as I know how much hard work it took to purchase them. The screen protection is a good idea, but what about scratches & knicks on the rest of the unit. You never know when you might think about selling it. I just bought a 60cs & purchased a pretty decent case for it on eBay for under $10 & it has clear plastic on the front for lcd. Hope all works out with that Braso, I've also heard it works pretty well.

I just loaded the same maps on both my legend & 60cs. The legend with mapsource & the 60cs with sendmap. They both had the same POI, but when searching for an address the Legend was always dead on, while the 60cs had missing info. It's all good though, cause you can always search an address on mapsource when you are going on a trip & create waypoints to upload to your receiver & then you'll be all set to navigate, plus the POI works just fine for when you need to find a hotel or gas station to go to. P.S. Oh & yeah the maps are a bit larger when uploading them with sendmap.

Wow, I just tried this & it works awesome with my MG v6. No POI lost, but addresses might have. If I had only read this sooner, I just bought MG v4.01 off ebay for $20 shipped. Thanks for the tip.

Archer, do you know of anyone who might be interested in selling me this title. I take it, you wouldn't sell yours since you speak positively about it. I purchased city navigator v4.01 off eBay & got burned. Well I say this, because it keeps telling me that the maps are not unlocked for my receiver. It's an original CD & it comes with an unlock code, but I keep getting that message. Oh well, anyways if you know of someone who can help me out with metroguide v4.01, please send me a PM. Thank you for your reply Sputnik, but I'm still going to give Garmin a call tomorrow. Yeah i was planing on using the city select with the gps18, & wanted the extra unlock for my new 60cs. I also have a 3 week old legend, but I'm using metroguide with that one.

Yes I think I better double check with them tomorrow. I notice it says it comes fully unlocked, so maybe that means only the usb receiver will work. Anyone else know where I can buy City Select v7 for a good price. Am I correct when I say that owners of the 60cs prefer city select over city navigator?

Hey everyone, I had a question about the City Select v7 that comes with the Garmin GPS18. Can someone tell me if I would be able to use it with my 60cs as well? I've heard you can use their software on 2 units. If anyone can tell me, I would really appreciate it. I was going to buy just the City Select, but I can purchase that GPS18 bundle for $99, wouldn't mind having an additional gps receiver for my laptop. You can find these units Brand new and boxed for less than $275 now some places online are clearing them out. Too many scratches on this one for me. Can you post any sites that are selling at these prices? I know you didn't ask me this, but I just purchased one Brand New from ebay for $275 from the seller "Savabundle". He has them for a buyitnow price of $350, but he has an option to make an offer. That's where I put $275 & to my surprise he accepted it. Good luck!
