  1. Here is a collection of GeoDogs from the Nordic countries (in fact a few other animals has sneaked in too)
  2. My Geocahing Statistics for Finland is up again ! You will find it here. /Bo
  3. Today I got a long list with names of Finnish geocachers who wants to have the Nordic Geocaching Statistics back. So, thanks to Hikerbiker, I will start up again next Monday with statistics for Finland. It can be found on the same url as before. /Bo
  4. I have added a "who found most caches in Finland / Norway in 2005" statistics to the Nordic Geocaching Statistics. Finland Norway If you qualify for the list but is not in it yet, please send me a mail and tell me now how many you have found in 2005. / Bo
  5. Most Recent Logs is down as you have probably seen. It will move to a new server and will be unavailable until the move is done, hopefully by tomorrow. / Bo
  6. Nothing wrong with your settings. It was a bug in my program that is fixed now. /Bo
  7. Please put me on the mailing list too. Thanks !
  8. We had some problems with the new Most Recent Logs in the beginning but now I think everything works as planned. The Stat page is now showing the Stat banners for the geocachers who has logs in the list and also shows how many logs he has in the list. /Bo
  9. The new release has not been up and running constantly for the last weeks. Therefor it is possible that we missed your log because our program was off line. We have also noted that during certain hours the amount of logs coming in to gc.com is very big. They present the last 200 logs worldwide and update at different intervals. Perhaps they dont have time to present all logs coming in. We beleive this to be a likely explanation also. There is only one solution to the problem if you want to see your log in the list; Go out and do more geocaching !
  10. Lately we have been busy with an update to the "Most Recent Logs" pages for Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Portugal. As I write this, CyberJunkie is in the process of copying the new pages to the server. They will be accessed the same way as before (Nordic Geocaching Statistics The new Most Recent Logs comes with a few new features as well. Bo
  11. There are also some people that don't use objects to represent them, but instead dress up when going on a cache hunt. We have at least one geocacher in Sweden practising that. He's apersson850 and he can look like this:. Look in his gallery !
  12. The Nordic Geocaching Statistics is updated (as usual once a week) and this time a special page is dedicated to our 4-legged friends. If you know a Nordic Geo-Dog that is not in the list, mail me. If you think you should be in any of the bar charts (found or owned caches), mail me. I have no mechanism to find cachers who qualify for a list, but once there I will keep the lists updated. As you have probably seen, Most Recent Logs are temporarily down. It will be up and running later this week.
  13. The German statistics is at German statistics. I was a little bit surprised to find that we are on 24th place in the top-Germany statistics. They allow everyone who has found at least 5 caches on German soil to join. We have found six.
  14. The layout of the GeoStatNordic page is not finalized yet. I will take all proposals under consideration. Today I have added a new feature; you can now see on a map of Sweden where the last 100 logs where made. It is not updated in real time yet, but will soon be I hope. Concerning wishes for new stats, I will consider them and if it possible to implement without too much manual effort it will come sooner or later. For stats requiring manual work, Sweden will always have prioritu though.
  15. We posted this info under another title earlier today, but as this concerns all Nordic geocachers it's better to make a new post. We have now been running the Recent Swedish Logs page for a while and after some initial problems it now seems stable enough. Therefore Cyberjunkie and undersigned decided to add Recent Log pages for the other Nordic countries. Have a look on GeoStatNordic where you with a simple click can view the (100) most recent logs for Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and soon the Faroe Islands.

  17. To provide Top-x Found and Top-y Owned for the other Nordic countries I would like help gathering User-data once a week (or once per update) from one cacher in each country, then I will run an extractor program and publish the info. Most recent logs is generated automatically. Those interested to assist, please contact me off-forum.
  18. Don't forget to put it on your wish list for Christmas eve. If you have been a good geocacher, maybe Santa Claus will bring something.
  19. More Swedish Geocaching statistics. For a while, Cyberjunkie and me, have worked on a follow up to my previous Swedish Statistics at Sweden Top 20 Found and Owned. The new page shows the most recent Swedish logs. You can find it at Most Recent Swedish Logs. If there is an interest from another Nordic country we can easily provide a similar log page for them. Look out for more statistics additions in the future !
  20. I will try to keep a Swedish statistics page updated until someone else has a better idea. You can find it at http://w1.141.telia.com/~u14121857/Geocaching/GeoStat.htm . Last update is 2003-10-26 13:50. If a Swedish geocacher, who believes he/she should be on the list, is missing, please contact me and send the url to your profile page.
  21. Soon Finland will have 341 because we added one in Oulu yesterday ! I was there on a business trip. You need all help you can get !
