  1. Even at $3.00 a gallon I drive back and fourth fives times to find the perfect place to park. Then I can't find the micro, I go to another nearby catch, log it, then return to the previous catch, get frustrated, drive to another micro disguised as a piece of cactus, can't find that one, drive to another catch, end up 2 for 4 on the day and I drive home. Now I have to go back to the 2 caches I couldn't find, wasting more $3.00 a gallon gas. But, thats why I like geo caching.
  2. I went 2 for 4 today, I also went 2 for 4 last time out. My fear is going 2 for 4 everyday, again and again, like groundhogs day. I need to read the hints and logs better I guess.
  3. FlatEarthSociety It's a way to look at everything from outside of the box.
  4. I have already had 3 DNF micro caches. My fear is going 2 for 4 next time out again.
  5. haha plus 3 dnf's... But, you should see the caches I'm going to hide. I already hid a 3/4, I'm going 3/5 next time. I try hard, and I have a nice GPS, does that count?
  6. Mine did the same thing, but it showed up after like a week.
  7. I'm a single guy and I love going alone, the longer and more difficult the better. If it's easy, I don't want to find it. By the way any single girls into caching in my area, you are welcome to pm me!
  8. The head gives the snake away as a rattlesnake. He took that picture very close, thats pretty crazy. I hid my first cache about a week ago, this is a serious hike through weeds waist high and up a mountain. Well on way back down I was on top of a layer of rocks when I heard the distinct sound of a rattlesnake below me. It wasn't one of those bugs that make the fake rattle sound either. When I heard the rattle beneath me, I honestly jumped and skipped over the last few rocks and didn't look back. My description has plenty of warning and it suggests snake chaps, and boots to help protect you from a bite. It adds to the search a level of danger, it's a rush to look for it.
  9. Snakes should not keep anyone from searching geocaches. Being bitten by a snake is rare. I do not support green peace, or the sierra club, but I respect nature and it's right to survive alongside us. Anyway, carry on and get pictures of wildlife.
  10. I sold the Garmin, and the Magellan is still available as of 4pm PST 3/23.
  11. Both are still available as of 4:19pm PST 3/21. Two inquiries about the Legend.
  12. I checked out an incredible cache yesterday in Corona, it would have been better without the numerous tires. The tires and trash people dump down this huge grade into a small stream, it's sad. To have it removed looked strenuous.
  13. Both are good units for a beginner or intermediate GPS user. Both have turn on and go capabilities, these units are easy to use.
