  1. I'm finalizing 3 Wherigo carts in our area soon. I'm gonna be using this. Thanks for the work!
  2. Got it! All good now. Your last post & me attempting to translate error, gave me a hint and I poured over all my 'entry box' text in \\kit. I found a '[' bracket, where there should've been '(' -parentheses. Problem solved. Compiles fine & I can open in Urwigo. Thanks for your time. Sorry to waste it on a typo!
  3. Unfortunately, nothing has changed on this end for me. Sorry to be a pain. I see ALOT of work goes into your end! Would it do me any good to just start over on the cartridge in \\kit? I could knock it out in just an hour or so. My other two recent Wherigo carts still compile just fine. Any chance you could send me a .zip pack of my Lincoln Highway WV cart to open in Urwigo? Just trying to move on without eating up too much of your time. Thanks so much for your hard efforts. I'll patiently wait, sincerely. Copy of error posted below: Error An internal error occurred when using the new cartridge compiler to compile the cartridge. 4. Some guidance please, Working on a triplet of Wherigo caches using \\kit. Then tweaking in Urwigo. 2 of them have worked fine and are completed. My most recent(& smallest) is giving me trouble compiling a *.gwc file. I can download a *.zip file, but it will not open/import into any other builder (Urwigo or GS Builder). Trying to avoid doing cartridge again from scratch. Upon compiling, I receive the error below. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.... Or what I've overlooked... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Error<br><br>An internal error occurred when using the new cartridge compiler to compile the cartridge. Its easy learning curve has allowed me to get started on cartridges while I work out the advanced details over time. But I'm stumped here. I've attached the .zip file for reference, if helpful. Hope to learn something here. Thanks in advance for any reponse. SonicSculptor Lincoln_Highway_WV.zip
  5. Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction. I knew there had to be a lot of press out there. Don't know why I couldn't find it!
  6. http://www.civilwargeotrail.wv.gov/Pages/default.aspx# https://www.facebook.com/CivilWarGeoTrail - ** info source & coins photos here. Regularly Updated https://www.facebook.com/ExploreWV WV Civil War Geo Trail: The state has been broken down into five zones. Each zone will contain 15 geocaches. Geocoins have been created in the shape of each zone, and the first 140 people to complete 8 of the 15 caches in each zone will receive a coin. If you are lucky enough to complete and receive a coin for all five zones, they will fit together to form the State of West Virginia. If you absolutely cannot resist completing all 75 geocaches, the first 75 geocachers to do so will receive a bonus "West Virginia 150" geocoin. Started Aug 10th, 2013. These are going fast! However, if you complete the requirements, Zone coins will be available for purchase for a very fair price. ($6 ?) Download a "playbook" and place stamps from each cache within. To date: I've completed over 50 of the 75 caches & it has been a blast!
  7. In just the past few months of Geocaching, I've seen my caching activities in print in a pair of Newspapers. I've come across a few other examples of other geocaching activities in print and on the news. I've had a pair of chances to get Geocaching into two local newspapers. I've yet to make good on the first, the second is below! I hope others will be motivated to share their "geocaching in the media 'finds'". Either in print, video, or audio LINKS for all to enjoy. I thought I'd share a link to todays newspaper article concerning Geocaching in Hancock County, WV. -in The Review Newspaper, East Liverpool, OH. The article does a good job IMO of explaining Geocaching, why someone might choose to pursue it as a hobby, and how easily accessible is Geocaching. Offering a glimpse of my first year as a Geocacher in training, using some of my own words and geocaching data. http://www.reviewonline.com/page/content.detail/id/569109/Modern-day-treasure-hunters-find-perfect-hobby-in-geocaching.html?nav=5008
  8. Wanted to chime in here and offer assistance now, and in the future. My primary skills are centered around media production. Audio, video, graphic design, & music w/ strong pc & past programming skills(haven't dove into .lua yet). Though, ive just begun to explore Wherigo, I' m sincerely remaining hopeful that Wherigo will someday grow to the next level & include a grander multimedia experience within the cartridges across most devices. Maybe just me... I'm project oriented & I get stuff done. I'd be thrilled to help anytime.
