I just heard about this on show 329 of the Podcacher podcast. I decided to give it a try today. Created an account and went to the nearest one- just 3 miles away. Found it easily with my GPS. I don't think I would have found it with only my phone. The app does not give you much info- no coords - so I had to get that online before I left. I usually try out new things just to see if they can be fun and add to my adventure travels. I am headed west in just over a week so may get a chance to try some more of these.

I just loaded the software to my new Nextel I 580 phone and it works great. My only question is there some way to filter out my finds when doing a cache search. In NH I have found many caches and do not always remember ( OK mostly always do not remember!!) the names and if I have already found them. In a new area this would not be important.

I would like 5 or so, unless I have already said that.

I am searching for the first placed cache in New Mexico or the oldest still active cache here. Seems like they were originally letterboxes but have no actual confirmation as to the first.

Some years ago- pre geocaching I was hiking in the White mountains of NH when much to my surprise comes a guy dresssed only in socks and boots and carrying a pack. He never said a word as he passed me.
