  1. It seems the only way to deactivate a bug is for it to go "missing" ... maybe I've missed something. There should be another "radio button" that says, deactivated because mission accomplished. I recently had a bug come back to Memphis from Singapore ... quite a feat. But to deactivate it, I have to report it as "missing." Doesn't seem right. Maybe there ought to be a "hall of fame" for bugs that reach certain mileage goals? Doug/WX9B
  2. Appreciate the little passport, that is a great idea.
  3. Chaz ... couldn't get to the purchase page, how much does the EXPERT one cost?
  4. I'm probably not understanding it. The ones that are listed in the Benchmarks (when we put in our zip code) ... are those all "found"? I was assuming they were. I've dialed in on one of those for tomorrow morning, so maybe I'll answer my own question! :-)
  5. I've been to the benchmark page, understand what is going on there, downloaded closest ones to easyGPS, etc. But I understand there is a list of LOST benchmarks you can get from somewhere? How does one find that list?
  6. Who Spilled the Beans is a pretty one, just confirming what was said above. I took some pictures of it so you can see what you will see there, they are there in the log. Enjoy your trip!!! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=10509

  8. Jamie ... I wondered what you were talking about as to the pic, then I got to Supermans Transition today! :-) How about that! I bet the one where the cache is came from the area that I'm leaning on in my picture. I took a nice picture of the cache site, but wasnt sure if I should post it as it might give it away. Great cache ... got Bitbrain's 1 today also, came up river on wrong side (Humphries) ...oh me! Decided not to swim!
  9. Hi ... thanks for the post. I've downloaded about the nearest 20 sites, this one you suggested was among them. I go on Sunday mornings (rain DEpending) ... I was just trying to figure out where to head first, and there's your post ... I'm on my way to Collierville. Thanks again (and thanks for the other caches in the area, much appreciated. Doug
  10. Dekaner ... Tried to email you, wouldn't let me. Can you send me the file you have to make the cards. Email is jdlinn@worldnet.att.net Thanks Doug
  11. Thank you ... I can fix some of those up with the color printer too then take them over to Kinko's for laminating. Those are VERY nice. Too bad the geocache site doesn't sell them in a pack of 50 or so ... you did a nice job with them. Many thanks for all the replys Doug
  12. Got 3 our of 4 new ones this morning. 2 of the Caches had a very nice laminated plastic card that explained GEOCACHING and what to do if you found the box by accident, etc. (Same wording as in the word document that you can download). But these were very colorful, and nicely laminated. Is there a source for these? I'd like to have some to put into the caches I find that don't have them. Doug
