  1. Use gmail to set up an auto-filter to send it to her account.
  2. 1 - E-mail the reviewer that published it and point out the problem. It happens, we all miss things at times. 2 - I honestly don't remember. 3 - Challenges should be level for everyone? Making cacher X have to do 3 things to complete it while making cacher Y have to do 8 things probably would not be published. This is not the same as cacher x has already completed some of the requirements before publication. That is allowed.
  3. I posted the below in this thread. There are some other interesting ideas there. Bolded and underlined for emphasis. In Valley Forge, they didn't require a permit as everything was done on designated trails. As someone said above, try telling them it's a non-profit educational activity. It might also be worth reminding/telling/showing them that the NPS's Geological Resources Division supports EarthCaching activities.
  4. Cache log are being ordered by when they were logged rather than the date the cacher says they found the cache. Example: May 4th log on the top of the page followed by June logs. Cache page of example photo.
  5. Hrm, this thread is like deja vous... Took longer than I expected but it still happened. That looks like a police visit waiting to happen. I hope you have permission and/or it's on private land...
  6. Does he know you made the change? Did you e-mail him or post a reviewer note?
  7. I get the same error message every time I report a post also. I'm told it still goes through when this happens but something does seem to be wrong with the hamster in charge of this feature!
  8. I couldn't find your cache so I'm logging a NM is NOT good reason for a NM log (IMHO).
  9. Here are two bookmark lists: One Two Neither seem to have been updated in a while but it is a start!
  10. The one in Arkansas was reviewed on 3/22/09 and requested information to be sent via e-mail. The other one was put into the queue sometime on 3/24/09 meaning it's been there about 2 days. And FWIW, it probably won't be published due to a proximity issue.
  11. Did you respond to the reviewer via e-mail as he requested?
  12. It would be a nice feature. At the moment, the best work around is making bookmarks for your multiple 'home coords' and using that.
  13. How do I become a volunteer cache reviewer?
  14. I've cached in Dover multiple times, clearing out all of the caches down there. I hope to get back down there in the future. Dover surprised me as there are many historical places, objects, plaques, etc and very few of the caches down there actually point these out. I would suggest putting out off-set caches (multis) that take people to interesting historical spots (or interesting pieces of art, etc), putting the final elsewhere, elsewhere as there are other caches in Dover that can make it hard to put caches at the things you want to point out. Relatively close to you that are good examples of caches like that (albeit a little more involved than necessary at times) are Tour of Historic Smyrna, History Hunting and Remember the Volunteers.
  15. I'll give generic answers, YMMV when you have the specifics ready for your reviewer to look at. Indoors in a business, probably would be considered commercial. I would imagine that would be ok. It is illegal in many places to put them up. My guess is you would have a lot of work keeping a cache like that active for 3+ months. My guess is you would get them pulled down often. Would probably be fine. Permission for these kinds of caches help. It would be a nice change to find something in a library and then go out and find a cache. Most are the other way around.
  16. 8.3 miles but it only came out a couple of weeks ago. It is in a direction I rarely travel which includes a toll bridge. Actually, it came out the day after I had just been in that area! That seems to happen more often than I would like. I am trying not to be a radius slave but it's hard at times. Much of the close stuff we grab on our way to and from caching trips.
  17. Puerto Rico has 224 active caches. Hawaii has 920 active caches.
  18. This thread is all about it already.
  19. Usually, I only go out with a plan so I know the order of caches I'm going to do, if there are parking/trailhead/etc coordinates for quicker routing. I keep that paper with me, mark finds/dnfs/etc as well as a quick note (much like field notes on some of the newer GPSrs). These notes help remind me so I can write a log more than TFTC. I almost always have a list when I go. I almost always over plan and don't usually run out of time. My suggestion to you would be to make two sized circles when you plan. A short route with what you think you can do with the time you have and a longer one which you would love to do if you had enough time. About the middle of the day, decide if you can keep going further or if you need to stop going and start working on the stuff on the way home. Remember, the closer stuff is, well, closer so easier to get next time.
  20. 1- With locationless caches, 57% of my first 100 are archived, without them 49%. 2- I wasn't caching 5 years ago. Over all, 30.6% of caches I have ever done are archived. This does count locationless.
  21. 85 pounds????for a hair dryer? I thought you were talking about weight until I clicked the link! I was thinking that must be SOME battery it used!
  22. I think I saw your name on a table lamp when I was there last time. It said "purchased with Tequila's 2007 PM funds".
  23. No but it did answer the questions you asked: Both, it is something that has been on the site for a while and possibly something to come based on the following. I think this is what you wanted to know: Yes, many people have as the search shows, as far back as Nov. 2006 as I posted earlier.
  24. Search results show the first topic about this back in Nov. 2006.
