  1. Not at all off, that's exactly how I remember it. We found a really special place to put the cache!
  2. Wow, sending your local reviewer would have probably saved you a whole lot of time and effort that's gone into this thread. As you know the earthcache is in Michaux state forest which is under the DCNR and all caches in their lands require a permit. The cache in question is currently on hold pending DCNR approval and has been since Oct 15th. The owner hasn't logged on since about that time and my guess is they haven't even submitted the paperwork. I'd suggest you not bother thinking about this cache as part of your find count. Assume it will be archived by the 15th of this month if I don't hear from the person.
  3. Why hasn't my cache been approved? A quick look shows that you put your caches up sometime this afternoon. Please give us reviewers sometime to get to things. There are other caches in the queue that were in there long before yours plus e-mails from caches we've had to put on hold for one reason or another. If after 72 hours you've not been contacted, check out here for what to do.
  4. It's one of the more difficult things I've found to do in this state. I start by looking for a name on the topo or google or geocaching maps. If I find a name, I look it up on the DCNR's website and get a more detailed map of the area. I always try to look at the closest cache to the hide to see if it has any information about necessary permission needed. (Placed with DCNR permission, approved by CC Parks, etc.) Finally I say a non-denominal prayer and hit publish!
  5. Sigh... wanted FTF... too bad it's so far away from me or I might have gone!
