I live in ohio, so that one is down; also i will be visiting Alaska in about 6-8 weeks. so i may hold onto it and take it with me.

  4. would like one of each color. so three. thanks sending PM
  5. i would get some, for sure....assuming price was right. get it under $5 ea. and you have a deal. as long as a minimum order for this price is only like 5 or so.

  7. i want to do this now; i think i got a valid solution too. have two cache containers. one at the posted coords that anyone can sign; however if people want a challenge and to have fun with it. they can do the minecraft version of it. if i get permission to do this. i will probably do ten of them and buy path tags to give to people who complete all ten. does anybody see a problem with this? Also i would prefer to have a map download so i do not need to have a server running. the rules state "HAVE" to. since there is the easy method. do people think then a download would be acceptable?
  8. Email sent: 17.2.14 Name received: yes Mission sent: yes Mission arrived: yes Mission received: yes there honestly needs to be a better way of doing this. like a google shared form or something.

  10. so if i understand this, someone is sending these to people at random or as surprises? i was hoping i could buy one somewhere or if they are for sale somewhere. i would really appreciate it if someone sent me a message telling me where
  11. should go geocaching (duh) but really you should take a airplane or helicopter tour over the nicest parts of either place and see it in all it's glory.
  12. i am in if i follow. we send the coin and a post card. but we write stuff about the area and the caches in the area as well. so in case they ever visit the area they know which caches to get. also the activated coin part sounds cool
  13. I am in, but what if no one want's your coins? i assume you are then out? i figure that is fair. so i will enter with the hopes to make a trade, but will not be mad if it doesn't happen.
  14. Well, I like free. The project 365 sounds cool if any are left.
  15. when you buy a coin you have two main choices: 1. do not activate it and keep it in your collection and it keeps all resell value 2. activate it and it is ready to travel, but may lose a but of resell value if you go with option two, you do not need to send it out and can opt to move it into your own collection so people who you show it to can only discover it and will not be able to log a retrieval of it. (since they never actually take it) if you send it out, be prepared for it to go mission and never come back. all trackables sometimes goes missing and geocoins due to their value do get stolen. like you said some people like to keep them. some people are just <removed by moderator> and like to steal your nice geocoins, because they are horrible people. you must accept someone horrible may come along and take it. Also do not take any that you find and keep them unless they are marked as collectible. this gives people the option to keep them in their collection. as for where to get them, here are some places i know mint them: geoswag.com (oakcoins store, i love them!) coinsandpins.com geocaching.com/store (good place, usually just resell and cheaper elsewhere. they do have the free shipping on $25+ orders though) otherplaces do resell. buying them from people who are selling their own collection is a great idea too. just browse the geocoin forum and check out cointracking.com too.
  16. so virtual bugs are ok; how about multiple physical items with the same trackable item? the tracking item would of course have to be moved to a collection; thus people can't virtually drop it anywhere or grab it. otherwise it would move all around the place. but people could post notes and discover it. this has many applications that i would use if available: 1. log my cache, anytime someone find any of my caches for the first time, they can log they found one of my caches. 2. calling card, people can keep them or discover and leave them. people can note where they took them from when they discover them too. 3. have any swag be discovarable, doubt you really want to track where all your swag has been to such detail you really need a separate page for all of them. 4. sure others would have other good reasons. it's your trackable page and it doesn't spam alot of caches inventories if it has been moved to your collection.
  17. I think the only solution is to make the trackables cheaper. people steal things and lose things, but a stupid piece of metal does not need to cost $5. a travel bug should cost $1 or less. there is no way no how with the mass fabricating and data-base upkeep anywhere near that cost; especially with the life span of a travel bug being what it is. on top of that the data-base upkeep is crap. No where do they warn you to keep back-up of your trackable images; yet i have lost two of mine and they where not able to retrieve them. It's honestly way over priced. less mass-produced and coins will always cost more, but a standard travel bug....yeah charge a buck.
  18. move it to your collection and people can only discover it and write notes. right now people can drop your trackable into caches and confuse alot of people. It's this reason and racking up a bunch of fake miles is why i think they don't allow people to share them or use not not allow it. (they might now it seems) I would like to know what they would do about many items sharing the same number if again it was put into a collection so it doesn't jump around like crazy. disadvantage is it would not show up in any inventory even when they are in the cache, but would not mean everyone would keep grabbing it from each other. I would like to do this for instance for calling card coins
  19. It's a number you can set to what ever, in theory it is the day it is released, but no one would know if it wasn't and it doesn't really matter anyway. Just set it to the date you want and enjoy possible problems: date is in the future: it may not let you set a future date, if not, just remember to change it once that date has passed can not visit cache if date is set in future: may allow future deploy date, but since it isn't deployed you may not be able to make logs on it yet. set date back so it can visit caches for the time being and change it to the date you want once it has passed. date is set before or after a date and is denied, dates really far in the future or dates really far back might not be allowed due to two reasons. past dates set before trackabled existed may not be allowed. dates really far in the future may not be allowed, because under normal circumstances people do not need those date ranges. if ever you can't set the date you want; just set it to today for now and change it later when the system will allow you
  20. i would definitely move it to your collection. so it can't be dropped anywhere
  21. i have been trying to change my signature, but it doesn't seem to work. only place i have seen to change it is in your profile >account settings when i click review signature it says: Always in the market to buy geojellies and coins with owls on them. Will buy up ant state geocoins with owls on them immediately. which is what i want it to say; however it has not updated to it yet; i changed it days ago.
  22. email sent; forgot to mention i am interested in any coins with owls on them.
