  1. Here are some links to a site with several guides for creating your stamp, crafting the letterbox, etc. https://www.atlasquest.com/tutorials/greatboxes/ https://www.atlasquest.com/tutorials/carving/
  2. Thank you for all the replies/information. So other than for sh*ts & giggles there's nothing gained by logging a trackable like a trackable patch on someone's pack or clothing, or a Hiking Stick Medallion, or a trackable Decal/sticker on a Vehicle? Admittedly, I did not investigate much before hand, but assumed when I ordered my Hiking Stick Medallion I'd be able to build up a log/map over time that was populated from others logging my stick after we met (I know: plenty old enough to know better than to "assume" anything... ) Thanks again for replies/information.
  3. While browsing through the forums I saw a picture of someone wearing a TB around their neck...later I got to wondering: If I met someone wearing a Trackable, but it was not at a specific Cache or an Event, what is the correct way to log it as discovered? Would I just enter that I'd discovered the TB and individual in "sometown, state" or should I make note of the actual coordinates where I "discovered" them? If I enter coordinates for a location other than a registered cache or event will it affect their TB's mileage? Thank you for your time and assistance.
  4. Perhaps this may be helpful: United Kingdom and Ireland Forums http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showforum=35
  5. Thank you for reply/information. The thread accessed via your link has nothing posted since Oct. 2010...no working links to the World Release Register that I could find...may try to contact someone via their posts in that thread, if/when I decide what I'd like to do with trackables. Thank you again for the link to the thread.
  6. In this forum post (stickied above): http://forums.Ground...showtopic=94185 toward the bottom of the post is a link for "The World Release Register", which opens a "404 Error" page when I click on it...is there a new/different link to that register, or is that no longer available? Thank you for your time and assistance.
  7. Thank you for reply and information. I also do not have knowledge about "phone apps", as I don't own a "smartphone". Thank you for your time and assistance.
  8. Clarification: My stats will show I started Geocaching in 2012, but it was for less than 2 months...now approx. 5-years later I am back, but I am still very uneducated in all things re: Geocaching -- so my questions: I purchased a trackable Hiking Stick Medallion, which arrived in today's mail...can I log my Hiking Stick Medallion as having visited Caches I find, such as I see being done when trackables are "dipped" at Caches, if I take my Hiking Stick with me while searching for Caches? The min. order for bulk ordering tracking numbers is 50 -- if several people ordered a set of 50, would the numbers all be linked to the account of the one placing the order, or can the numbers be divided up amongst the group and each number would be linked to the account of the person who"activates" it...so for example if a group of five individuals pooled their money to get 50 numbers and then the numbers were handed out 10 to each of the five in the group, would each member of the group be able to activate their ten numbers and have them linked exclusively to their account? (hope that makes sense). Thank you for your time and assistance.
  9. Thank you for reply...I use Chrome browser exclusively, but will try IE to see if that works. EDIT: Installed IE and tried visiting Geocaching site and using Magellan Communicator via IE rather than Chrome...same results, even after adding the Geocaching site to IE's "trusted sites' list. So since the Communicator/"Download to My GPS" option seems to be worthless now, the only alternative is to manually enter coordinates into my GPS, or am I missing something? I use a Magellan eXplorist 110. Thank you for your time and assistance.
  10. I have the same problem...have installed and un-installed Magellan Communicator 4-5 times today, and Geocaching site continues to indicate "Communicator not found" when I attempt to download caches to my GPS. I was able to do all of this previously when I first started Geocaching in 2012, but now with new computer and same GPS as before it is non-functioning. Does anyone have any advice or work arounds for this issue? Using Windows 7 Professional. Thank you for your time and assistance.
  11. I saw a cache page where the hint said to look for a Black Bison Tube. Can someone please tell me what a Bison Tube is? Thank you for your time and assistance.
