I use GSAK to "send waypoints to GPS"...GSAK will send %con1%typ1 %hint (type of container, type cache, and hint to my gps 60CSx....check out my profile page near the bottom....Stay safe

Why spend your time on the forums....Better times can be had out caching and hiding caches for other to find and log. Get some experience so you can be a credit to the sport. Stay safe.

Why buy a cheap GPSr at what ever cost...If you upgrade (which we all do) that is money wasted. Most of us end up with 2-4 units. That is becacuse we were trying to buy a cheap unit....GFI and have fun.

Calibrate your compass every time you cache..and if your compass is acting up, stop and calibrate it again. You will see a difference.

It appears that you picked a sport/game with all the bells and whisles that is way over your head....either that or you are just a complainer that wants to use a forum to express your short commings.

Well let us see....you have had your free shot at geocaching, now if you are enjoying the game and want to have some really great benefits and move your caching adventure to a higher level....Yes, pay your dues, support Ground Speak and GFI. Have fun and stay safe.

The simple requirement is that you sign and date the log in the cache container for credit....Now that isn't to complicated to understand. All you do is go back, sign and date the logbook. duh... In stead of spending this time on the forum, you could be caching and getting that experience and having fun.

I'm sure with more experience that your find rate will be in the 90% range. We all experience DNFs, but that is part of the learning experience. A good team is Premium membership, GSAK, and a PDA of your choice. A PDA will give you the cache page at the cache site, etc. I use a Map GPS 60CSx and with GSAK I can have the type of container, type of cache, and HINT displayed on my GPS...Happy hunting and stay safe.

If it's missing, and the owner is not active, it should be archived. You can adopt the "name" and Coords and place your own container with log.....Then back to caching.....
