I recently purchased Microsoft Streets & Trips 2007. Unfortunately, it doesn't recognize my Garmin eTrex. If I ask Streets & Trips to scan ports to find my GPSr it says there is no device found. I know, though, that my computer can see my GPSr because GSAK finds it just fine. Any suggestions? Thanks.
When I import a list of caches from GSAK into my eTrex, if there are two caches that have similar names, only the first is imported. For example, if there is a cache called CoolCache1 and a cache called CoolCache2, only CoolCache1 is imported to my GPS. Is there a way to import both caches? Thanks.
Yes, I'm using a Palm. I found the path outlined above, but GSAK is requiring a GPX file type and the file described above is .PDB, so I can't get to it. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I've got GSAK on my PC and CacheMate on my PDA. As I cache, I record the logs into cachemate. I'm sure there is a way to upload my info from cachemate into GSAK but I can't figure it out. It appears that in GSAK under FILE>LOAD CACEMATE LOGS AND FINDS this would be the right place to do it but the dialog box wants to know where on my PC to find the file. Where does cachemate put the file? Thanks, Betabob2
I have the standard yellow Garmin e-trex and just recently purchased the PC interface cable so I can upload waypoints from GSAK to my GPSr, but I can't get it to work. When I try to upload I get a timeout error that says "Garmin: Can't init COM3". Any suggestions? Thanks,
I just subscribed as a premium member meaning I can now do pocket queries. However, I don't really understand them, their benefit, how to run them, how to use them with software, etc. Does anyone know a good URL that explains in detail? Thanks.
I have an opportunity to buy both the Garmin eTrex Base Model or Magellan eXplorist 200 Navigator at exactly the same discounted price. If price is not the issue, which is better... the eTrex or the Magellan? Thanks for your input.
I have a Palm Tungsten E2 handheld. Can I buy some type of adapter, etc to enable it as a GPS? How much would this cost? Can anyone recommend it? Thanks for you input.
