  1. Name the cache "No Trespassing" and the build cache and description to match.
  2. Didn't realize that the 1st was a double post, so I'll share here too. **************** I can give an example!!!! Actually found this..... A bison tube, cleverly placed in a small pile of fresh looking dung, in a target rich park. Had a hard time with this one for obvious reasons. I found it disturbing that I would even look there..... It was an EVIL hide. Luv'd it!

  4. I enjoy Geocaching so I help support it by paying. Hopefully by me doing my small part it'll be here tomorrow, or next week, when I decide to find another. You know it wouldn't last very long if it wasn't for the paying members.
  5. Still have..... 12 (haven't turned on in years) V (the kids use it when we're caching) and 60csx (MINE) Think I'll power the 12 up for old times sake!
  6. PayPal works quickly. Found in my favor and starting the refund process. Too bad he doesn't seem to care about the folks that place their trust in him.
  7. Same thing has happened with us. Was conerned something may have happened program creator until I saw 'em chatting it up on the forums. I sent him another message with still no reply. Filed my complaint thru PayPal. The registration fee wasn't much, but more than I want stolen from me.
  8. It's your cache so do with it as you wish. I must admit that I once deleted a couple finds due to the fact that I didn't like the wording. It was silly and in hind sight I wish I hadn't. The cacher was informed and they reclaimed the find, but were a little nicer the second time around.
  9. LEO in Texas.....but keep it between us.
  10. I like Garmin. As much as I'm paying for their services I expect them to take it seriously.
  11. The guy that found it is a little dry and to the point at times, but a GREAT person. I have no doubt that IF he was involved it was purely accidental.
  12. Hello and welcome to the addiction! If you bought it new it should have a 64 meg card already in it. 1st this you should do is take it outside, turn it on, and let it find itself. Great choice with GPS! More when you're ready.
  13. I did until I learned about calibrating the unit.
  14. The 2 Gig card is the best bet. It's better to have a little more than not enough.
  15. Reading about it on another forum back in June of 2002.
  16. It happened to us yesterday! I'm not a real shy person, although some would perfer that I was. I get loud at times. Draw lots of attention. Then I tell 'em that I'm 9Key. hehehe
  17. You can. Go here: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/ and seach by Waypoint.
  18. Pick a company with unlimited minutes or free GPS time. My Verizon does well, but it charges me by the minute. Bad thing for Geocaching, well at least it is for me.
  19. I read about it and have a question. Say I'm carring one. I fall and I'm knocked out. Does it have an auto actvation feature? If so, I'll order one today! Cool device with lots of potential.
  20. Calibration could be the issue. The manual suggests recalibration after installing new batteries, after travelling 100 miles or a temperature change greater than 68 degrees F.
  21. I swore by my 12 until I bought my yellow eTrex, then my blue Legend, then my V and now my 60CSx. I luv 'em all the same AND I still own them all. I'm just sentimental that way!
  22. Responsibility????? I've never placed a beer can cache in an alley in downtown gang land, but I did go find it at 3 in the morning. You have some fantastic caches out there 9key! One never knows what they're getting into, but can be sure it's gonna be fun!
  23. I feel your pain. What GPS are you using? You can normally set the map detail on the gps itself in the setup menu of the gps, but can vary from unit to unit.
  24. Adding some log sheets? YES! Good on you. Now I'm not so sure about taking the old log with you...... I'll have to think a little more on that one...... Nope I wouldn't do, nor want, that. It may just be me, but I wouldn't want to have to contact someone to get my log back. Now you could stash it somewhere close, email me the coords, and I'd be fine with that! Most of all ~ Thanks for caring enough to try to help! I'm sure you'll figure out the best way to handle it.
