  1. I think the hint should be changed (obviously), but nothing else.
  2. I read meters for the gas company and have used my pepper spray twice in the past 6 months while on the job. I carry some while caching also, but the dogs I've run into don't seem as aggressive since they aren't guarding their own turf.
  3. It's 7:00 p.m. and I've only received one of my queries The one I received is for my local caches, the one I don't need for my trip
  4. I've been getting mine reliably for some time, but suddenly they stopped. Bad timing since I'm taking a trip in a couple of days! I still hope that soon they will be produced/sent on demand.
  5. Not sure if it's related, but KFWB is a radio news station in So. California. Their profile photo shows them at the CA Love Ride. This year's Love Ride was this past weekend.
  6. Stand By Me... the cache is the dead girl's body.
  7. I got one on the 4th (after my post above), but none since.
  8. I got one on the 4th (after my post above), but none since.
  9. I haven't received a pocket query since the 28th
  10. I haven't received a pocket query since the 28th
  11. There are a lot of excellent caches in Ventura County. It's hard to pick a favorite. If you want to make an event cache #100 we've got this coming up this weekend: Eat, Drink and God Bless America II There are a lot of great caches near the event as well. All are welcome!

  14. I seem to be having similar problems using my Palm m125. Sometimes it just seems to go to a random page, rather than the one I need. I think it's a MobiPocket problem. There's got to be a better way!
  15. Worked like a charm! I only need it to work One-Way also. Very cool! Paul
  16. quote:This past weekend, I bought MS Streets and trips and downloaded all the caches within 100 miles from my Pocket Query. Man - it was slick. Only $40 too... Markwell, were you actually able to import the waypoints into MS S&T? That would be cool, but I have no idea how to go about this. Paul

  18. USA PhotoMaps is an excellent (and free!) program that will download and save tracks, waypoints, and routes from the eTrex and then show it on a satellite photo. Very cool. http://www.jdmcox.com/
  19. Cropping and re-sizing are the easiest ways to reduce the file sizes. Most digital cameras and scanners come with software that can performs these tasks. There is also a lot of shareware/freeware out there that can do the trick.

    Major slows

I thought it was just a problem on my end, but apparently not. I've got DSL, but today the site is really slow to respond. I imagine that the site is getting busier everyday, but I'm also confident that they are doing all they can to keep up with the demand.
  21. I sold my Earthmate so I could buy my eTrex Legend. The eTrex does everything the Earthmate did, and more. It can hook up to the laptop used with several software programs.
  22. While I understand why 2 is popular, it is practically un-usable in most metro areas. It is just too busy. The cost of radios has come down drastically, so it would not be a huge investment for those with older radios to upgrade. If I'm not mistaken, most, if not all newer radios have channel 12 capabilities.
