  1. I suggest dropping your Premium Memberships in protest for the continued "slights" that the "powers to be" have inflicted on the Benchmark Hunting section of this site. I've have done so a few years back. To say the very least, it is quite unprofessional to FORCE changes on a system, process, law, rule, or web site without making any sort of prior announcement to those affected. The hand writing is on the wall for us Benchmark Hunters. They relegate the "Benchmark Hunting" link to a barely noticeable section on the bottom of the home page and in a smaller font. Now they are shrinking the Benchmark images by half. To my knowledge, neither of these were announced. I was an IT professional for 32 years. To make drastic changes to our systems without consideration of and consultation with our user community would #1, have been unprofessional, #2 inconsiderate, #3 disrespectful and finally #4 would have been professional suicide. We existed to support and not dictate to our user community. They paid our salaries. I believe the only way the "powers to be" of this site will listen to the Benchmark Hunting community on this site is to withdraw financial support.
  2. This same thing is happening when I try to add my coordinates to a benchmark found via the "Add waypoint" feature. What happens is that the system simply brings in the official coordinates for the benchmark and will not allow me to enter mine.
  3. The "Google Maps" link on each Benchmark page does not take the end user to a localized map of the Benchmark's location. Instead, the embedded link on each page confuses Google and it defaults to a map of the continental US. A recent change (few months back) to this web site has appended some superfluous characters to the end of the embedded link associated with each benchmark's Google Maps link. Those characters are +()+ This is an example: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=N+35%c2%b0+1...2%b0+38.583+()+ You can see what I’m talking about by clicking on the Google Maps link below the location map on this Benchmark screen: FF1324 Once you get to the Google Maps screen of the US, you can simply remove those trailing characters and resubmit the map query to get to the Benchmarks location. It would really be nice if the developers of this website could remove those characters from these links so we could go directly to the location map as the site used to work. Thanks, Dave
  4. There are NO print options supplied on the Benchmark Description pages. ___ The only option is doing the "raw" print method. ____ See for yourself by visiting this page CLICK HERE
  5. The issue of not being able to print a cache page IS ALSO the same issue with printing a benchmark page! Printing a benchmark page is CRITICAL to this aspect of the hobby. Without this we are SCREWED! I can only assume the folks that made the change are not active participants or users of what they publish. PLEASE return the ability to screenprint a page from this site to us members
