  1. I recently got a Blackberry. I downloaded the 7 day trial, but didn't get a chance to try it out, and it exppired. I was just wodering how accurate the phone GPS really is. It would be nice to access geocacheing.com, and log finds on my phone, but don't know if the purchace price is worth it if I still need to carry my GPS in addition to my phone. Any input would be great.
  2. I have a Garmin Colorado. I added the City Navigator maps and it works great for both.
  3. I use a Garmin Colorado with City Navigator, and U.S. Topo, and it works great.
  4. Thanks. My old GPS stored them as waypoints. Thus the confusion. Thanks for the help.
  5. Why can't I upload Wayponts from my Garmin Colorado and have them show up in MapSource? Only a few of them show up.
  6. I just got a colorado 400t. I put some of my topo maps on it to see if it changed anything from the factory maps. How do I delete the maps I added. I didn't us an SD card. Thanks.
  7. I've also read that the Colorado is discontinued. Anyone know if that's true? I'm still considering the 60csx too. I like the Colorado's larger screen, for use in my truck too.
  8. Glad to hear the cord I already have will work. I'm kinda bummed that I have to have the pics in a certian folder to view them. I have a motion activated digital game camera I use for scouting for deer hunting. I was hoping to take the Colorado into the woods with me and view the pictures from the camera. It uses an SD card also, but makes it's own folder to store them in.
  9. I'm planning on buying a Garmin Colorado this week. I was going to order some accesories too. A mount, case, screen protector, etc. I already have a 12v mini USB cigarette lighter cord I use to charge my iPod through my iTrip radio adapter. Can I use this same cord for the Colorado? Or do I need the one from Garmin? Also can I take an SD card out of my digital camera and view the pics on the Colorado?
  10. Does only the 60csx overlay 2 maps? Also, if I buy City Navigator on CD, can I put it on an SD card too? Or if I buy it on and SD or mini, can I also use in in MapSource on my PC? Can the Colorado view pictures on an SD card from a digital Camera? I've been scouring the Internet, but can't find answers to these questions. I would also like to do more geocaching.
  11. Thanks for the input. I'm still torn between the two. Can the 60csx auto route with my older topo maps? Or do I need the City Navigator too. Can I swap SD cards to switch from the City or Topo maps without using a computer?
  12. I currently have an old Garmin Legend and an old copy (2005 I think) of Topo USA. I want to upgrade to a color model. I can get a 60CSX or Colorado 400t for about the same price. The comparison on Garmin's site shows they are very similar. Garmin Site Comparison I have used a friends 60CSX but am not very familliar with the Colorado. I've heard it has some software issues. I like the idea of the larger screen on the Colorado, but have read that the 60CSX is more user friendly. I only geocache a little. I use mine more for hunting, fishing, biking, boating, and driving. Any input would be great. Thanks.
  13. Anyone have a garmin etrex carry case to reccomend? I don't want it to interfere with my signal. Any suggestions would be great.
  14. The cache is listed on geocaching.com as GCTBNC. I plan to look again today. I now have a better idea of what to look for. Thanks. And my wife who hates the cold is working. That should give me more time.
  15. I went out geocaching for the first time yesterday. I usually use my GPS for hunting and fishing, but it's Winter and I'm bored so I thought I'd give it a try. It was a multi-stage cache. I tried it because it was the closest to home. I went to the first waypoint, looked around, and found nothing. What clues do I look for in a multi-stage because the cache isn't until last? I would have kept looking, but my wife was too cold I have a Garmin etrex Legend with the US and Canada MapSource topo maps. Any tips or advice would be great. Thanks.
