  1. Thanks everyone. personal note, all is better now and my brain can rest.
  2. i know the little puzzle piece in the top left corner means i solved or have alternate coordinates. what is this green envelope logo? i have not changed the coordinates yet, have not solved it yet, but have been working on it. i know someone here will tell me thanks!
  3. It is close to home, yes, but I also ran a PQ centering on this particular puzzle. I did try clearing out all .gpx files and redownloading, no luck. I definitely do not have it ignored, I just double checked. I found it today, so it is really a non-issue now. I am just perplexed at what could have happened. With it being inside the .gpx file when I view it in a text viewer, but not making it to the list of caches on my Garmin. Oh well.
  4. has anyone ever experienced a particular cache not showing up in PQ's on a Garmin? the specific cache is https://coord.info/GC4W7T1 it should show up in my home PQ. i even tried running 2 others, one of them being based on 500 caches around this particular code, GC4W7T1. It does show in in the PQ when i look at it online. it shows in the text file if i open the .gpx file up and search it. So, I know it is associated with the actual PQ, just not making it to my garmin. i have not found it, i have solved it and have corrected coordinates. other solved puzzles, as well as many other unsolved puzzles show up on my Garmin from the exact same PQ. it has me stumped. i did an internet search with all key words i could think of and only found info on how to run a PQ, etc... thanks in advance if anyone has any insight.
  5. Millions is more than enough:) i just tried to read about what a GGZ file was and how to use it, but the garmin site seems to be down. how do you get these GGZ files, and then can they be dragged and dropped into the GPX folder on my garmin 750t, the way i have done forever? thanks again for all this info!
  6. great, that says millions of caches with GPX. just the answer i was looking for. that is millions more than i need ;-) thanks for your help! jimmy
  7. Thanks for the reply. sorry, i do not know what GGZ or GSAK files are. can you get these from pocket queries? i believe that pocket queries are limited to 1000? I just googled GSAK, and it looks like some software for windows? i don't have one of those, i have a mac. anyone know how many can be loaded from pocket queries, GPX files? thanks again for the reply. jimmy
  8. Greetings. I did a search but did not find the info I am looking for. Does anyone know how many total caches from pocket queries I can load into a Garmin Oregon 750t? I am getting ready to make a cross country drive and will be filling it to the max. thanks for any input. jimmy
  9. Thank you for the reply. inside an ammo can, loose, no baggie, nothing attached, nothing noted. how do you offer up for adoption?
  10. hello- i found a trackable dog tag the other day. apparently it was not already active and/or owned by anyone. when i went to log it, it asked for my code. i did the step to get the code. i didn't realize until it was too late that i was adding it to my ownership. can i deactivate it, then leave it for someone else to have/own? i don't want to own another trackable, i'd rather someone else that might want it find it. thanks for any help!
  11. I just came home from peru with pictures and information on 3 "benchmarks". I went to log them on GC, and could't find anything, and then found this forum. Glad it was here....10 years later :-)
  12. thanks, prefect explanation for a dum dum like me.
  13. thank you again. so are they just a bunch of random hides around the world that have been 'selected'? or does the cache owner have something to do with it?
  14. Thanks for the reply. it is not short of clues, just a bunch of caches i have already logged as found. same solution? expand area?
  15. Thank you to this thread, i found the filter. Does anyone know what happens if i have already found all the caches nearby that come up with the first filter? do i just have to go further away and find something I have not already found? thanks!
  16. my situation is almost like eTom22's, but even weirder. when the update came out i had the flags with corrected coords. i know that it was working, used it, and was super happy about it. today it is not working. i have tons of puzzles with corrected coords, and none of them are showing the yellow flag with corrected coords. i have no cache data to clear, but tried that anyway. killed and restarted app, did everything i could think of. there are DEFINITELY corrected coords, so i don't know what else to check. any suggestions? thanks!
  17. thank you so much! i have no idea how i missed this. i was just in that same place to other day to allow friend requests. oh well. have a great weekend! jimmy
  18. i see many user profiles have a home page listed. member since, last visited, status, email address, occupation, location, etc... some people have a home page link, to a facebook or sometimes other personal sites. i can't not find where to set a home page for my profile. i have looked and looked, but to no avail. any help or suggestions? thanks! jimmy
