  1. This "reason" has always bothered me. Do I really need a geocache as a reason to stop and stretch my legs? If I am starting to feel tired I know I should stop and take a walk around my car to get the blood moving again. I did this long before I found out about geocaching, and will do it long after I give up geocaching. So if I am starting to feel warn out, I should wait the 60 miles to the next cache? No, of course not...
  2. You know, this would a good way to torture the Approvers...
  3. If it is sometime in August I'll probably be game. I've been wanting to come back to the city again.
  4. I'll let you know. I am going next month.
  5. What the heck, I'll buy a few. When is she going to collect?
  6. Only two more years until the extra good fun starts...
  7. I forgot all about the surfer boys. They ruined all the fun...
  8. I just checked, FireFox has the same feature that CO suggested. You can sort by day and site.
  9. If you need help spreading the love, let me know. I live in Allegheny, but am in Greene County a few times a week.
  10. Isn' t this the same post that is in this topic?
  11. There is more information in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that gives more details. The skinny of it is, they put food in their tent. What should you never do? Put food in your tent...
  12. Go for Gmail over Yahoo!, MSN, Hotmail, etc...
  13. Have at it... The other FTF hounds would hit all three if they could...
  14. This would probably do better over in the gc.com forum.
  15. I know someone will Markwell this for me... The site pushes out an AVERAGEof 12 MBit/sec. Just think of the number of querys the database servers are getting hit with during peak times. I think it is pretty amazing that the very small shop at gc.com put together the current setup.
  16. Sleeping on the beach is not permitted. However this is a hiking trail on the island that you can legally spend the night on. I can't remember if this is "beach front" camping or not. There is a campground on the island, but, if I remember correctly you need to register for a whole week. The beach never really closes, so the event can go until the wee hours. And please, don't feed the ponies.
  17. On the front page of the Pennsylvania State Police webpage is a picture of one of the cruisers. I can't believe that you haven't seen one yet. I highly recommend being a passanger in a car while someone else is logging the Speed Trap geocache!
  18. Pay the $3 to log the smiley. That is the only way, unless the owner takes the MOC off so she can log it, then enables the MOC attribute.
  19. I highly recommend these two caches: Buzzard Hideout and this cache, which I did twice Signal Knob
  20. While I have to agree with the above Howard Stern comment; this has gone way off topic... Radio waves should be free? Boy what is to stop me from broadcasting on my local police/fire/ems frequencys then? Or how about transmitting on the TV audio frequencies. How about about people who us (illegally) 10 meter linear amps on 11 meters (CBs) and that stomps all over legal 11 meters communications in Europe? The FCC radio enfourcement division is alive and well...
  21. Well, here goes for another 1500 miles on my car... I had a blast last year doing it... Plus, there has to be one crazy from Pittsburgh doing this series...
  22. Wow, when I stared this topic I figured it would take months for these listings to be "cleaned up." I'm surpised how fast it is happening, I guess I under estimated how everone would react....
  23. If I remember correctly .gpx and .zip are selected by default. Are you unchecking these boxes when they should stay checked?
  24. It was mention in one of my local caching groups that SBUX archived most of her caches stating that she will no longer be able to maintain them. First I must thank her for saying this. But here is the problem. Now there are a few hundred caches sitting out there being geolitter. Some of these caches are of the ammo can in the woods type, while others are the lamp post micro type. She offered these caches up for adoption, so if someone wants them, now is your time. Not only do we have caches just sitting out there unmaintained/not active, but we also have travel bugs and geocoins in these caches not moving. So will the community pitch in to help a fellow cacher and/or the game? Edit Once: Tried to add link to profile Edit Again: It didn't play nice, I gave up
