Team Nine Lives

Has anyone tried the Glo with a Ipod or Ipad mini? Would like to use it with maps offline and with the geocaching app. I have a Iphone that works great(and a garmin map60csx) Thinking of getting the Ipad mini if I could find a way to add gps to it.

We have a Garmin GPS Map60CSx and love it. We use it geocaching and for car travel. For travel we hook the GPS up to our Netbook and use Garmins N-route and Navigator maps. With N-route you have voice command and routing. Just a thought if you have a laptop you travel with (even it you dont you can find Netbooks really cheap)....I love the Big screen!!

This drives me crazy.I would love to see this fixed!

I use N route (with city navigator) and Watcher (loads all the geocaching info to your desk top). Just download your Pocket Queries to these two programs,plug your GPS into your laptop,plug laptop into car charger and away you go!!! Both of these programs work great.

I got all the emails tonight and yes I have a gmail acct. Maybe they were having issues.I didn't think about that. Thanks for the feedback. Problem solved for now!!!!

When a cacher finds one of your caches you always get a email. Yesterday 3 of my caches were found by 5 cachers.I didn't recieve emails. I checked my setting,they have my correct email. Is anyone else having this problem??? BTY..I did get the weekly notication????

I'll be interested to hear the answer on this. I have the same problem on "occasion".The only fix I have found is to restart my computer. The drivers are loaded but there is a glich somewhere? Hope someone has a fix for this.

We have the GPSmap 60 and a friend we cache with just got the newer 60cx. Her screen is way easier to read,but it hasn't locked on faster or longer than our regular Gps60. We haven' been in dense cover,so I don't know if her signal would have been better in that situation?

Very neat!!! I saw in the logs thats he's east of Yuma heading to Tucson. We live in the Tucson(Vail) area but will be driving to Yuma Friday. We will keep a eye out for him waking along the hywy. If he's in the Tucson area when we get back from our Thankgiving travels we'll offer him a place to stay!!!

I have looked all over the Jeep.geocaching site and can't find a link anywhere to see/vote on photos for the Sept. contest. Help,where do I find the link? Also I submitted a photo but never got a response saying it was excepted. How do I find out if was aproved (it was 4 megs,had the goal,submitted around the 27th). I have another jeep but don't want to load another photo till I find out if I messed up last months photo (it was a really good one too). Thanks for any help

I can't believe this...I found 2 green jeeps and a yellow jeep today Now here are my questions. Can I submit a photo for each green jeep or can you only enter one a month? Also, I logged them at geocaching.com,do I need to log them also at the jeep site? Thanks for any help!!!

Thanks so much for the link to suggested caches.Thats just what I was looking for.I know the area pretty well (lived there 12 years,family still there). Spokane has so many neat areas wasn;t sure where to start. I saw someone posted a night cache...those are lots fun.....I know what I'll be doing on the flight from Tucson..routing all those fun caches!!! Thanks again

Hello My husband and I will be in the area Aug 30th to Sept 6 and plan to cache while we are there(can you believe that?) . Can you suggest caches that we should see. We'll also be heading North of Spokane,Northern Idaho and maybe down to Walla Walla. Would love to know your favorites (also hubby does puzzle caches). Any feedback would be appreciated Thanks!!!

I have City Select loaded on my laptop. I want to load it on my husbands computer. We keep being asked for the unlock code? I thought we could put the map on as many computers as we wanted without using up our second unlock. How do we load the map, so he can use City Select on his computer?

I can understnad your happiness!! I had knee surgery a month ago and had to relearn walking etc.I can now do level 1 caches.....micros are growing on me,but I miss the hikes. Welcome back!!!

Theres is a cacher in my area that has a travel bug tatoo w/tracking number. I hope its ok to say his ID name is Shadow Ace. You have to get a photo with him to log your find. Fun guy with lots of stories.

My husband and I cache as a team,we also cache with other cahers(teams and singles). We have a rule for finds. When someone spots the cache they walk away and mention they have seen the cache.They then wait for the others to spot the cache.When everyone says they know where the cache is, we open the cache and each team or individual signs the log. This works great for Us. Each person feels they got to do the hunt

When will the Google map be back? I had the google map this morning.Ijust logged back in to do some more searching and its the Old map...whats the deal?? I loved seeing all the caches located in the area,then bookmarking the ones I liked. Bring them back!!!
