  1. So your just going to post a picture of a kick a** spot and not tell us where you were or what cache you found!
  2. The original merdian marker was easy to find http://www.Waymarking.com/waymarks/WM4YMM I imagine you could browse the bench marks at Waymarking and find several.
  3. They had them in the gift shop, behind the counter and you had to ask for them. 15 bucks a pop.
  4. I wasn't quite awake this morning, and I clicked on managing location by accident. I saw a cool google map page and when I tried to use it and clarify my home coordinates I got this error System.Exception: Error in decoding latitude at Tucson.WebApp.Common.account.ManageLocations.uxSaveLocation_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) I cleaned out my cookies, relogged in and got the same message Using Vista 64 and firefox 3.0.8
  5. One time, I sat around for 3 days watching other caches get published while mine sat in the hopper. I double checked my cache page, I had forgotten to check the box that said my cache was active.
  6. While you are in Seattle you should really go to Headquarters. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...81-782a6e14c00b They are super nice! I am not sure about the ape cache at that time of year. Others will know if you need to rent snow shoes from REI then. The tunnel is closed now indefinitely and somebody here can recommend the best route.
  7. The only cache I can think of that is not on a graveled road but on a trail is the one dedicated to the Celtic Cachers, the rest are on graveled roads. I know the glass cache directions say trails, but he has you going a complex route.
  8. Thats a cool picture! You might want to print it out and give it the owner. I know I would like a picture like that of my house. And it might build some neighbor relations
  9. This was yesterday today was worse http://ahps2.wrh.noaa.gov/ahps2/index.php?wfo=sew I really don't like the snow.
  10. There is not a geocache specifically for this area but if you climb Mt. Higgins near the top there is a bunch of shale. If you break apart the shale you will find plant fossils and the occasional shell creature. I personally have not seen it but my Dad swears they are there. As he climbed it several times in his youth. If I ever make it up there I am going to check, maybe if somebody beats me to it they will place an earthcache there and give me some motivation.
  11. Still coming down at my house. I am up to about 23 inches, the drifts are just under 3 feet. My husbands car is sitting on our road in front of our house. Can't you tell that I plowed it yesterday? At least my husband got home. The tractor is one of the coolest snow toys. We have pushed the snow up into HUGE piles for the kids. Picture was taken this morning when Agent M was standing on it. Now it is taller than my hubby's car!
  12. Looking out my front door about 5:30 15 inches!
  13. A good day of caching for me is watching my kids being goofy and having fun outdoors. It is the best smilie!
  14. I am so excited for tomorrow! There are 2 brand new caches in the Wallace Falls state park that I have added to my bookmark list. Thanks Turn180!! Weather tomorrow is partly sunny with a high of 59. It might rain tonight so the trail is probably going to be a little wet tomorrow. According to my Best Hikes with Children book the trail is 4 miles round trip with 880 feet of elevation. See you guys bright and early at 8am! If you want to get a head start on working off Thanksgiving before it arrives Three Bottles is Pokey Plodding in Bellingham! Lake Padden. Those BUGZ are crazy! Its going to be tons of fun!!
  15. Thanks a TON for the information. That will help our planning immensely!
  16. I downloaded the GPX file. The majority of caches are marked found. I think its because Nick has already found them and when GSAK exported them they were marked as such. Also, for us lazier cachers is there a way to identify the walking/hiking caches. Or get a list of them in case we are crunched for time?
  17. Do you have a link for trail of shadows? Silverton is nearbye and I have not heard of it.
  18. Its exciting to watch TB's race around. I know when BBP and I had one (that I won) it was great to rib each other and taunt whenever we could. The caches you dropped them in are good caches, but have already been found by the locals. Maybe if they aren't moving fast enough you could pick them up and replace them. One of the best ways to get a bug moving is to go to a big event, like geoboo coming up, or drop it off at Headquarters. Bugs move fast from there and travel good distances as people who visit are from out of state or country.
  19. Thats some great intel Dwood! I know a bunch a nuts are going to do it after the kent cache machine. Now I really want to do it even more!
  20. I am severely puzzle challenged. How does it work?
  21. I am reading a book about remarkable Washington Women. I came across a section about Fay Fuller, the first woman to summit Mt. Tahoma (Ranier) in 1890. I found a picture of her modeling the clothes she wore while summiting. BTW her outfit was scandalous! She wore pants under her dress and you can see them! And she wore a men's hat!! She says, "I was very nearly ostracized in Tacoma because of that trip- a lone woman and four men climbing a mountain, in in that immodest costume.." I imagine that the picture was pretty accurate of what you wore to the top!
  22. Looks like you forgot to bookmark the event. Thanks for your hard work in putting this together. I am really looking forward to all the fun!
  23. Looks like you forgot to bookmark the event. Thanks for your hard work in putting this together. I am really looking forward to all the fun!
  24. Hey Shopp99er! Grievous Angel found your shirt at the CITO! You left it next to the bikini top and the rubber baby blocker.
  25. Just wanted to let everybody know, today when I went to check for updates for my gadget I had a notice saying that my City Navigator North America NT 2008 was eligible for a free update. This update is only good till October 22 after that you have to pay for it.
