YOU HIT THE NAIL ONT HE HEAD. IT WAS NOT A SATTELLITE RADIO, IT WAS MY CB RADIO. TURN IT ON BARS GO DOWN. TURN IT OFF BARS GO BACK UP. LIKE YOU SAID, IT HAPPENS IMMEDIATELY.

does anybody have any comments on naviagtor v8 .

 

i see items on it that make me wonder that they spent more time on protectig it from being illegally obtained (UNLOCK CODES) than they did on making sure of actually getting cities were they belong.

i have been wondering what exactly determines the amount of signal that a gps recieves.

sometimes i recieve great signals and othertimes i can not even lock on any satellites.

i am seeing this mostly in my vehicle. i have a gpsmap60cs and to be honest i am unhappy with the ability to actauuly use it do to its poor reception. i took a trip to n.c. and half of the time i had no or liitle signal.

and the cloud cover was crystal clear. i have the gps mounted to my dash and sometimes i get great signals and other times i get nothing.

 

am i the onlyone that has this problem or is it something that i should consider contacting garmin.

did anybody have a problem the day that england stop the flights

[Help Please With City Select Vs Navigator]

I have the same gps as you and have similiar questions about which software to buy select or navigator.

i have seen that they naviagtor will be the only one of the 2 available.

my question is if i buy select today, will garmin supply me with the new navigator software when it is available ( when ever that is ). i have read posts about if you buy select and don,t unlock it when garmin releases the new navigator they will give it to you no charge. but if they don,t then i have made a purchase of ther software that i should not have.

 

has garmin officially made any release dates .

 

i just no if i buy the old city select, i will be sorry that i should have waited for the new navigator.

 

it seems that if you buy the city slect for lets say around $90.00 +/-. you kind of wonder why garmim would provice you with a newe version that will cost a heck of a lot more.

what is the main difference between select and navigator.

 

is garmin coming out with a different version and if so is it better to wait or what .
