  1. I once braved the ire of the missus to go caching. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. But on the plus note...she didn't talk to me for 24 hours.
  2. Having read the so called thief's (ie newbie) logs on the 3 trackables, I believe that Geobuzzbee should have thought before accusing someone on these forums. Could someone contact this newbie and explain how things are done. Not the OP though. eh!
  3. I've come across geocachers that love to look at trains. Others like to dress up as medieval soldiers. Some even collect coins. But for me...My other hobbies are amateur gastronomy and wine tasting. A nice glass of red with a bag of chips. Sorted.
  4. Good Luck GC Buddy. Keep em peeled for the Smokey and Bogies. 10/4 V.U.K.
  5. Hi folks. Some fine pics this month. The Dinosaur was tempting, but this months winner is............. [ Well done zarbi&zarbibird for an action shot that impressed. Over to you for the FEB comp.
  6. I would say not. Since the intial hiccup in November it is found quite regularly. But obviously, as I haven't found it, I couldn't be 100%.
  7. A small tip from an "oldie". Spend more time caching than on these forums. It's a lot healthier.
  8. If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Only the sound of EvilTree sobbing.
  9. I have emailed 2 such cachers that post blank logs. Stating that future logs may be deleted by Jeremy.
  10. This is the best thread of 2011. Hi Rachelorch. Good luck with your quest. This hobby is a great way to get out and about..alone or with family. Go for a cheapo basic gps 1st while your still deciding if this is for you. Hi Hazel S. The best way to start a brand new week is caching. Your alarm should be ringing at 6.10am not your phone. Caching beckons for you. Your parents know better than you. Well done Simply Paul. Fame beckons at last. Hi Pharisee. I've never found a micro in a puddle. But that does give me an idea. Hi GAGB. Moving on swiftly. Hi Cache U Nutter. I was so close to yet another 5/5 today. Close but ignored.
  11. Hey Portland Cyclist. Who has p*ssed you off today? Or are you just bored with caches in car parks. I feel an ulterior motive in this thread. If not. I don't really care anyway. Well done for logging the find though mate!
  12. Last weekend before the big vote. Good, but cold conditions are forecast so don't forget your cameras or phones.
  13. Don't forget to ask the new owners for permission to place your caches. And the caches you have already placed. It may pay to see how you go before getting GAGB involved.
  14. I find the cache names listed, both relevant and amusing. I have a cache magnetised to a nut on Juggs Lane. Will it also become involuntary disabled by a blinkered reviewer?
  15. I quite enjopy receiving logs in a language I do not understand. It's mostly Czech cachers here in London. If it is stated that the log needs to be in a language that the owner understands.... Then those that don't speak that language will obviously not realise this strange request.
  16. Congratulations to myself. My 300th DNF was achieved this past weekend.
  17. That is a worthy milestone indeed. 2 reasons for the "congratulations" are in order. Go get em!
  18. Go find another 50 before you do anything else.
  19. Bide your time. Wait. And wait some more. Don't do Option 1 or Option 2. The world is a big place.
  20. I would like to have the option of turning them off. Or a more discreet option when logging the find would suffice.
  21. I'm glad you took the plunge to rescue your valuable gps. A bit of wet and cold is worth it I reckon. I'd probably dive in if I was losing my lovely Oregon. Shame that Goldpot fellow resorted to getting help to retrieve his.
  22. Thanks...but, Neither link resolves the problem. They remain unresolved. More time wasted. Being blunt isn't rude. Thanks.
  23. As I was out-a-caching today, I found a cache on private land, and I had a deep feeling that permission had probably never been sort. (imagine that) So I ask you, my fellow cachers. If I get arrested and banged up (or more likely pay a fine) for trespassing, can I and should I sue the cache owner? No answers from lawyers or solicitors please as they will only answer in their favour.
  24. I would throw the cache in that bin for the obvious reason.
