  1. Our team has slowed down a bit this year because of our expanding family. However one or all of us would love to join you when possible. Just shoot an e-mail to me when your up for a cache.
  2. We plan on attending. Maybe we will be on time for this one. Unlike the red rocks weekend.
  3. Jenn, We should get there before noon on Friday and would love to grab a few during the day. We will look for you when we get there. Im sure one of us will be wearing a simular shirt too.
  4. Check out todays Phila Inquirer. The weekenend section has an article mentioning quite a few of us local cachers. Here is a link. http://64.4.14.250/cgi-bin/linkrd?_lang=EN&lah=89a70e6a1f553615a35e4ad0ac35c071&lat=1050677812&hm___action=http%3a%2f%2fwww%2ephilly%2ecom%2fmld%2finquirer%2fentertainment%2fweekend%2f5659497%2ehtm
  5. Team bubbletree will be at site 23 (24 & 36 booked). See you guys Friday night.
  6. Is it possible that these are trails/spots that hunters are tagging? I know they sell those ties and markers in most outdoor shops for hunters some even glow at night when hit by a flashlight. If this isnt the case it is just very poor judgement on someones behalf and could make cachers look like litterbugs.
  7. I was just checking out your other hides. Maybe they read the one log about it being placed in someones front yard? What did they want you to change on your request and why? I never had any problems with getting one approved and whould be interested to know why some are a problem.
  8. If it was placed close to home I would give it a shot. I do like caches that have a twist... however driving home without a log always stinks and this one might fit that senerio.
  9. Go Birds !!! I think I am going to mark my lucky seat at the Vet. so that when its a parking lot I will still be able to do my lucky dance at my original spot. Bowl Bound this year !!!
  10. Wear stilts or swing from vines. Really you can only do so much, I think if you at least attempt to walk on bare spots or backtrack etc you have done as much as you can. I still am not sure about the yellow snow idea....whats next Snicker bars too?
  11. I agree with stayfloopy stick to the ammo-boxes. The northeast can destroy most plastics within four seasons. It can destroy a car in 10 yrs and an ammo-box in about 100yrs.
  12. We love ours! It says LLbean but is made by kelty. It truly is the only way for our whole family to go out together. This one is very comforable and stays very tight to your back thru the whole trek. It also will adjust from infants to toddlers and holds geo treasures in a seperate pocket. I would suggest rather than paying the big bucks at an outdoor shop to hit ebay. I found a few on the site that looked close to new.
  13. If the shack is dry you should have each cacher leave a photo of themselves in an album. This would hold my attention for a bit and would be pretty cool to see. The dummy might scare the little ones. Good to see people thinking of unique ideas keep it up!
  14. Wear blaze orange during hunting seasons.
  15. I love when people give parking coords. I think it would be a very nice option.
  16. Just sold my bike at the end of summer. Hope to get something new in spring but not sure yet. I dont know if its that safe though on a bike, I have a hard enough time in a car with a GPS. I wonder if anyone on the pages has ever been in a fender bender because of caching?
  17. I wonder if this year we will get all the snow that missed us the past two years? Does anyone know of any hidden caches at or very near ski areas (local or not).
  18. Good point. Think of all four seasons... melting and freezing can destroy a cache if you leave liquids.
  19. I think it would be really cool if you could rate a find when you log a cache. Maybe a star rating system or a 1 thru 5 kinda deal. I think it would be nice for the ones hiding the cache as well as others looking outside the normal hunting grounds. I know several that deserve high recommendations and others that are just plain weak and from the pages now its hard to seperate the two. Does anyone else out there think this is a good idea or do you think the log entry fine?
  20. I have one buried in an orchard and I placed a small fake tree on top of it. It looks just fake enough to make you get it after you walk around it a couple times. Buried yes unfindable no.
  21. Did you do the count for Florida in the elections? I found several CCCooper caches and they where excellent! I think they put more thought into them then a lot of others have. Why bite a hand that feeds? To me a person that hides many is more of an asset than someone who just seeks. Kudos to all on the big hitters list.
  22. We would attend. Just keep me posted on the date.
  23. I think it would be very nice if the virtuals were a different color on the map search page. I personally dont search for them and they look the same as any other cache on the maps. Even better still would be if they had a seperate search page like the benchmarks. I agree that there is a debate between the likes and dislikes of virtuals and I think this would be a cure all. However I have no clue how much work that is for the folks running the site or if Im too much of a minority with these thoughts.
  24. I see you havent loged any finds yet on your page. I think after a few you will get so addicted that you will end up with more GPS units than remote controls at home even if they are only a year old. Glad to see another cacher in Pennsylvania maybe I will see you on the trails.
