  1. Can we plan, locate and get event geocaches approved and put on hold months before the event date? This is for the purpose of securing the geographical locations for caches so that they cannot be claimed by someone else desiring to place caches too close to the event caches up to a year ahead of the event geocache release date. Where can I get an answer to this question? Thx
  2. We got into geocaching in a really big way this year - found over 400 in 4 months and hid approx 40 caches. It's been a blast for the whole family, BUT we are finding that we simply cannot afford all of the gasoline it requires to keep this up. Will be drastically cutting back beginning after our first caching event at the end of this month
  3. ................... Never mind. I just retrieved the activation codes from www.geocaching.com site.
  4. I received 3 new Ontario Geocaching Association suncatcher geocoins but cannot retrieve the activation codes. When I go to the www.hogwildstuff.org website it directs me to click a link for activation codes which takes me to www.hogcode.com This doesn't work but gives me the following message: Geocoin Code Activation Page This is the activation code retrieval site for Hogwildstuff Geocoins. Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'hogwilds'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/hogwilds/public_html/hogcode/index.php on line 46 Could not connect to database. Anyone been successful in getting codes recently? How? Thx
  5. Apparently two of my new caches were found by seekers by looking at the map. I have yet to even receive notification that they were published. Also not receiving notification of anyone else's new caches or found reports for my caches. Is the system falling apart or what?
  6. Well, I'm just a newbie at this but it seems to me that if someone doesn't want people to keep their trackable, they should just use a travel bug / tag - who would want to keep those anyway?
