  1. The article looks great. There are two photos; neither is of me for some reason. The article covers the entire front page of the McChord Off Duty section of the Northwest Airlifter. There was some editing, improved the story in a couple places by getting rid of some clumsy wording. Some parts were edited out completely. The following was cut out entirely: quote:Geocachers are also rightfully proud of their "Cache In, Trash Out" motto, which refers to their practice of picking up trash on the way into and out of the search area. and: quote: Geocachers operate individually or as a team. To log a find on the website, you’ll have to register a user name, or handle, first. Some families have names for each person as well as a team name for times when they all geocache together. Names like Criminal, Hazard, Lawnmower-man, Moun10Bike, Ajetpilot, TravisL, or Stingray and Devil Kitty are known to haunt the local community. You’ll find theirs and many other names in the log reports for caches all over Washington. The services of www.geocaching.com will allow you to find or even hide a geocache free of charge. The site will send you an email every time a player logs a find on a geocache that you’ve hidden, and you may add other caches to your personal watch-list and the site will email you if any player enters a log on that cache as well. Additionally, the website hosts a geocache forum where players around the world ask questions, chat, and discuss geocaching and related activities. Overall, it looks pretty good for a first. I’m still working on getting an electronic version.
  2. I have it on good information that a pro-geocaching article will appear tomorrow in the Northwest Airlifter, the McChord AFB newspaper, tomorrow. It was written by a local geocacher, prolific forum poster, and tormenter of a certain local no-finder. There should be a photo or two, and the article mentions several other local geocachers as well.
  3. This is our dog Patch. He's just learning how to geocache.....and walk on a leash.....and pee outside. He's part Cataheula Leopard and part Lab. Nuthin beats a good mutt!
